Hey, Alan Belcher here...

This may be a coincidence, but I've been getting a fuck ton of spam email since signing up to reserve a spot at this webinar, and it's been getting past the spam filters in my email too. Lots of it are loan scams.

I haven't gotten any, so might just be coincidence. I did receive his email about the 50/50 defense, and that's about it.

Anyone know when we're gonna get a link to where the webinar will be held? I didn't see one in the email I received.

Lol, I doubt anybody wants Nick Diaz to post here anyways. He would probably just say "Wut wut wut" and make pathetic threats at random people.

He can't show up to his title fight presser, and his charity match with Estima, you think he's going to show up on sherdog? You're having a laugh mate.

Nick wouldn't be the first unbalanced fighter to post here. Look for Jason Delucia, guy said he put a voodoo curse on Bas, and was serious about it too.

Bisping and Diabate went at it too. Come on, give fighters some respect, otherwise you can't call yourself a fan. As you end up chasing them away

Alan any chance you can throw the webinar up on your site or youtube after the initial airing for later viewing? Many, myself included, will be working.

Sorry, but this particular webinar is a one time thing. I will be putting up more videos in the future though.

Alan,

please tell us what went through your mind, as Paul was trying heel hook you ?

It seemed to me that you were calm and focussed, which I find is impressive enough. Weren't you a little scared that you would end like the others ?

Congrats on the win.

I was nervous because I knew he was the best in the world at this, but I was really confident in my amazing training camp. I wanted to avoid him getting anywhere near my legs, but once he got there I felt really well prepared, and the defenses were muscle memory at that point.

Fight related questions? Any fight related questions?

What was your gameplan in the fight with Yoshihiro Akiyama and can you explain what it was like grappling with him on the ground.

Thanks. Your a great fighter and your Jiu-Jitsu is sick.

Gameplan was to use my striking and to stay out of the clinch. Back then Akiyama was on a tear, top 5 in the world. I saw it as a big opportunity and was pretty nervous. On the ground he had good control like a wrestler, but he didn't feel like a jiu-jitsu guy so much. I was also not nearly as good on the ground back then. I've really focused and improved my ground game and jiu-jitsu a lot since that fight. Akiyama is great fighter even though he's had a tough run in the UFC.

Do you ever travel anywhere in the country live to do seminars?

*strong hint

Also, what's your advice to a gal just starting out in BJJ? How can I get better faster?

I rarely do seminars because of my schedule teaching and fighting. My best advice to you is to invest us much time and energy as you can without overwhelming it. Take advantage of these free resources like youtube, and webinars. Buy DVD's and do private lessons if you can pull that off. Make sure you're learning from legit sources, but that is a good way to shortcut. MMAvault has a pretty good site for DVD's.

Alan,

I am very interested in the mental mind set you carried going into the fight, plus in the days and weeks leading up to the fight, would love to hear you talk about that.

Palhares is scary, his legs locks are scary and you are a man who needs his legs healthy, how did you deal with that fear of consquence?

I was honestly concerned for you in that fight, shouldn't have been as I knew you were the more founded fighter but he just has that one very string ace in his sleeve.

And one more time.

Congrats on a great win!

I used the knowledge of his expertise to really tighten me up and focus. I knew I had to be at the top of my game and the challenge focused me in training and kept my mind sharp. This made me prepare more, and the more I prepared the more confident I became.

Hi Alan, I got question, when Palhares got the takedown where you concerned that he might not go for leg locks and just try to GnP and use his strength to control and pound to a finish or decision? Or not at all since he got pretzeled into a banana split?

Hahaha, that's funny. That would have been a big surprise since it's not his style, but I wasn't worried about that at all. I'm used to ground and pound, and I'm pretty confident against people that try to fight like that. I was more worried about his submissions definitely. But like you said I was able to get to the truck early so the thought never even crossed my mind.

Thanks for taking the time to answer, Alan, I'm sure you are very busy. I picked you to win against Palhares by the way.

This definitely does not have anything to do with joining the webinar. All info typed in is 100% secure.

Alan thank you for the answers. Besides he never got to a position where he can do the GnP. Awesome performance.

Oh for sure. His newaza is that of a world class Judoka. Def would expect him to feel more like a wrestler. He is a great fighter. As someone who's practiced Judo for many years its interesting to here your take (a worldclass pro fighter) on fighting him and his style as someone with first hand experience with him.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I wish you the best of luck in the future and will be rooting for you in your next fight.:)

Would it be gay if i stole that one? Cause its bad ass. :icon_lol:

I am a fan. I give lots of respect to all the fighters, including ones on Sherdog like Belcher, Vinny, the Avellan bros but they have earned and command respect, whilst Diaz has earned only criticism.

"Unbalanced" is a rather anodyne term when it comes to Nick. Try uncouth instead. Even Dana White himself, commented on Nick's lack of discipline. It's not as if I'm saying something totally brand new here. I'm only saying what most people say about Diaz. The guy let's everyone down, and still attempts to justify it.

Anyways, enough about this, back to the Webinar topic. Alan, I doubt that twister was possible on Toqo. The guy is just too strong. What do you think?

Lol, that takedown of his was sick as well. He shot in from half a mile away, so fast, so powerful. Man, well done on not being scared of that dude.

Alan,

During your fight with Palhares there was a point where it looked like you were going for a twister. I admit that I was kinda shocked that you had survived his leg attacks, but my mind would have been more blown than ever before if you had finished him with a twister.

Did you feel like you actually had a chance at finishing it, and if so what was going through your mind thinking that you might submit a grappler of Palhares' status(with a rare and badass submission no less)at the time?

Thanks

Hey, Alan. This is K.C., one of your old training partners (not sure if you remember me). I'm glad to see you doing these webinars and posting on forums. It's a great way to endear yourself to your many fans and congrats on your run to hopefully a title shot, soon.

Peace.

Any seminars coming up around the country Alan?
