What's amazing is how quickly they adapt and explode. I never saw an Iguana down here like 15 years ago, now these 100's of them every few feet it seems like. Same with parrots, Egyptian Geese, etc...

Yep. There is a saying among people who have lived their lives in Florida. 'If you want to stay here, you gotta share with the critters'. And I do mean share.

I live in a suburban enclave on the outskirts of St Augustine. And I am on a retention pond a good 200 yards from the forrest line. Seperated by 3 rows of houses and 23 streets. There is not a week that goes by that I do not see either a deer, cottonmouth, small wild boar, or small gator in the backyard or pond. How the fuck a deer got this far in here I will never know.
