Here is why BJ Penn is a GOAT

Can BJ fans logically explain what makes bj better than Henderson?

Hendo actually has more success overall and more success against bigger fighters

lol BJ Penn GOAT thread in 2015

oh wait, a joke

I hope

An any time, any place fighter- not an MMA practitioner necessarily, but a fighter. That is the main reason I am a huge BJ Penn fan.

Along the lines of guys like Couture, Wand, Saku, and Royce (amongst others)- guys who didn't let a few pounds of difference become an excuse.

I feel very fortunate to have been around to see those guys in their prime.

BJJ was BJ's ticket to UFC. It's better than some shertards were saying Ronda is a GOAT because she got an acting job in some movies or on the cover for ESPN.

People like to mention Ronda with her accomplishment in Judo. Why can't BJ with BJJ?

Those people are idiots too. BJJ/Judo/Boxing/wrestling are different sports and how they did in those sports should have no effect on how they rank in MMA.

And no one who isn't trolling says Ronda is the GOAT. GSP, Jones, Aldo, Silva (eh.. maybe not anymore) or Fedor are the only fighters with a real claim

Hendo has never been the consensus #1 at any weight class at any time. Neither have a good case for being the GOAT

No he was 100% a MMA practitioner

No he was 100% a MMA practitioner

I think we are talking about two different things...

When I think of a FIGHTER- I think "just scrap, let's get this fight finished as soon as we can"

When I think of an MMA PRACTITIONER - I think "let's out point the opponent, maybe at some point reach down and touch the floor so he can't knee me in the face"

Both examples may involve a very well trained and well rounded professional

Nether of them are goat but Hendo has a way better resume and anything about bj fighting bigger guys is really got nothing on Hendo

He knocked out the real goat Fedor (even if it was little quick stoppage)

He's got win over big nog

He ko wanderlei, shogun
