This matchmaking is completely transparent. The UFC desperately wants to keep Merab away from a title shot, so they gave him what appears to be his worst stylistic matchup in the division and made it 3 rounds (which favors Henry).

That being said, I think Merab's size and pressure should be enough to grind out an ugly decision.

He thought the UFC would come groveling with a big new contract to get him back, but instead they just shrugged and said, "see ya!".
