The only way Diaz will keep fighting at 185 is if Dana keeps paying him big money. I don't think Dana wants to throw big money at Diaz for Diaz/Hendo. Dana would want something bigger. I think Dana just might want him to take the McGregor route at 170. So he could set up Diaz vs Lawler II(assuming Lawler can hold onto the belt)

Whats the McGregor route? McGregor's win over Dustin Poirier is a higher ranked win then anyone Nick has ever beat at WW

Lol. Diaz would waste Lombard. Especially if he fights more technical and savy like in the Anderson fight.

Diaz finally got smart and realized if he didn't stop walking people down constantly they were going to run from him. Lombard would just be another victim unless he can somehow manage to throw Nick and hold him down for 5 rds.
 
Hendo Diaz would be the least amount of top level fucks given in the octagon ever.

You make it sound like Nick actually ever beats good fighters. Nick fans need to accept Nick for what he is. A good fighter that is very exciting vs the right opponents, but a guy that will never be elite or beat the elite of WW.

Nicks just not a great MMA fighter. He is good but not great. Zero top 5 wins and a 2-7 record vs top 10 WWs or higher (his only two top 10 wins were low end of the top 10 and questionable top 10s to begin with). Thats not a top WW

Rory will do Nick just as bad as he did Nate.
 
Great fight in theory but I see Hendo destroying Diaz.

Agree for the most part, but Lombard would toss Diaz around and end his run before he ever got to Lawler.

I agree Nick is not on that elite level, but he's got some good wins. Gomi was pretty much the #1 LW in the world when Nick beat him and Robbie Lawler had to be ranked pretty high back when Nick fought him because he was killing everyone when he burst on the scene. The Condit fight could have gone either way, so it's fair to say he's about on par with Condit, which is pretty damn good... but no, not quite big league dominant champ level.
 
would be a good one, diaz did very well against Silva
 
Would be nice for Nick to finally get that nap he deserves.

Hector would light Nick up, as much as I'd like to see Nick get knocked the fuck out, Dan need to fight rampage
 
That would be a awesome fight. This fight NEEDS to happen imo.
 
I always thought this was a terrible matchup for Hendo, since his cardio, defense, and boxing are severely lacking. Diaz's chin has held up to pretty much anything, so Hendo's H-bomb chances are smaller than usual. Diaz just needs to get off some quick combos to the head and body, avoid a couple wild bombs, and then Hendo is a corpse from gassing.

Brown
Lombard
Lawler/Champion

I think Diaz would be the betting favorite in all of those fights. Unless Rory becomes the champion. Then Diaz is probably screwed.. back to 185 super fights. Diaz vs Belfort > Diaz vs Hendo though. Diaz vs Machida would look like Diaz vs Anderson all over again.

Nick is the best stand up fighter in the 170 lb division. If he had to fight nothing but strikers in his own weight class he'd be having as much success as McGregor.

Unfortunately I don't think Diaz's head is in fighting/competition anymore. He will only take big money fights now.
