Interesting story. The original title of this film was Almost Fortress and they wanted John Fortner to star in the movie, which was set in Fort Worth. It made it to theaters but Fortunately only lasted a Fortnight. There's more, but my wife just got home and I want to go Fortnicate.

You really should. There's a reason it sticks out in so many heads. I don't even remember much, but I remember it being a pretty damn good action movie/splatter fest. Pretty sure it even had a gun called the "splatter gun", that would just blow a big hole in people. There was also this thing where the inmates had explosive devices attached to their necks that would go off if they stepped out of bounds in the prison.

I saw it as a kid, and the images are still in there. Shit, I'm gonna have to check it out again.
