Looking at the comments in this article, lots of people are tut-tutting Jones for saying what he said, but I'm all for it.

One thing that always got under my skin about Jones was the fake good-guy image, but now it seems like he's starting to really own being the heel, and I can dig it. It's better than pretending you're America's sweetheart on camera and behaving like * ***** ** **** otherwise.

I think some of you have a far deeper desire to like, or respect Jones than you may be comfortable with admitting. Jones is not going to starve without your personal support. Reading Jones story in Rolling Stone, it is easy to see how he would so desperately want to be liked. I'm pretty sure those days are behind him. I don't think he gives a flying fuck if you people like him now. It has absolutely nothing to do with him being a heel. If some of you children were able to enjoy things without having to attach childish labels to everything, you might understand that.

Stop using your interest in a sport to justify your own obsessions and pathological behaviour toward public figures. It's sickening and hypocritical.
