Heavyweights outside the UFC they should sign

I could name some names, but the problem is that all the best ones are obviously on gear, and probably won't look the same in the UFC.

King Polo, a few years down the line. He doesn't look like he's on anything, just a huge, athletic motherfucker, but is really young and raw and doesn't have the skills yet

View attachment 1132789

He's got natural size, but he doesn't move very athletically. "Huge", yes, but not particularly "athletic". And yeah I know he has a baseball background but watching his fights and watching him spar with Pereira he looks like he is fighting on quicksand.

If they can throw a bag at Wyatt Hendrickson and get him away from amatuer wrestling I would put him on developmental deal like Gable Steveson then you would have 2 American powerhouses that can carry the division in the future hopefully

He does make athletic moves that others probably wouldn't be able to make, if you watch his few fights. Could come down to his build. But it's relative. Did you see Jon Jones play any other sports? He probably got cut from JV. I think Polo has time to grow, he might build on his frame, learn some footwork. He's young and has only fought two or three times, and they were all very close together. He just isn't ready

Well this is what he had to say last year.

“There were negotiations with the UFC, but misunderstandings arose, plus the conditions were worse than PFL,” Nemkov said during an interview with Ushatayka (translated). “If I were 20-25 years old, I would probably go to the UFC, but they made it clear to me that they are not particularly interested in fighters from Russia.I have a new two-year contract. When my contract ends, I’ll be 35 and I can still try crazy things,” Nemkov said. “If I manage to win here against everyone [in PFL] and everything, then I think in two years, there will be a different attitude toward me.”
I don't see many worthy opponents for Nemkov in those PFL rankings.

As the best MMA promotion in to world, the UFC should have an obligation to bring in fighters like Nemkov who clearly belong in the elite.
Stop being cheap and give the fans what they want and that is the best fighting the best.

35 is still young for a HW though, it just seems to me like wasting Nemkov's prime against lesser competition.

Rico might be getting the Usyk fight, so that would be out

Usyk is a troll and will entertain Turki's stupid idea.
Just like he said he could box Pereira, or fight Jake Paul in MMA.

Usyk has maybe two fights left. No one wants to watch him waste one of them embarrassing a KBer.

Turki does

Turki does

Yeah, but Usyk has two interesting fights (Wardley, Kabayel). Wardley is a big name, too.

Turki can pay for whatever fight he wants, but Usyk has fought... 5 times for him, IIRC. He has money to spare, and could tell him that boxing Rico wouldn't be as fun as Turki thinks. Would not be fun at all.

Gable, Nemkov, Pouya Rahmani, Malykhin and Oumar Kane. Nemkov and Malykhin are 205 pounders under the UFC’s testing protocol, but the other dudes are legit heavyweight prospects. Gable is the ultimate blue chipper, but don’t sleep on Rahmani. In fact, he’s the type of fighter who could be Gable’s kryptonite.

If Turki says it…I believe him yo.

Gable is the one they'll sign.

Should have signed Nemkov whether he's a draw or not, he would have been a good pickup. I dont see someone like De Fries leaving the comfy gig he has in KSW. Maybe WIll Fluery or Malykhin but who knows. Rico can get 10x money from Saudi if he gets Joshua or Francis fights.

The pickings are slim but they dont go out and get the guys who are available is the problem.

IF they signed Gable, Nemkov, Rico and Pouya and then maybe steal away Malykhin or Fluery you'd actually have something to get div going.

Now everything is gonna rest of fast tracking Gable to a title within two years.

I thought he wanted Rico to fight Joshua in early March? I know things are fucked cause of the accident but thought they wanted Joshua not Usyk.

They missed out on not signing Rico, would’ve loved to watch him fight Alex in mma
