The disparity is not from Jones fans/ haters
Its between people who have trained and those who havent/ couch potatoes.
Putting on 20 lbs of efficient mass particularly for cardio intensive endevour is simply fucking hard, especially over 30.
People who think its easy, or the results present bodybuilder physiques, are literally on their couches eating cheetos playing video games in their free time totally ignorant of athletics.
Yes, especially since he was always in some training, powerlifting, he reached his natural muscle mass. He could have taken some cycles while out of testing pool (he looks huge on some pics from before during his powerlifting sessions), but from his lean LHW 220lb, to go to 250lb without gaining at least 50% of that weight in fat is impossible naturally. And it does not matter performance wise, he would probably do better at leaner 240lb or so, he has enough strength anyway.
