Media Heavyweight Jon Jones Fight week picture

Why didnt you answer the second question. Who were these successful fighters that moved up an achieved gold at championship level? You said everyone? Be specific. Who?

Francis and Jones was the ONLY fight on the table for Jon. He wasnt fighting for anything other than the belt and Francis walked after two years.

I didn't say "everyone" moved up and won a Championship, and that's a disingenuous argument.

Everyone who moves up a weight class and won at their own respective level should be considered a part of this.

In which case, literally everyone who moved up a weight class in the UFC and won a fight managed it, unless they took a massive step down in quality.

Ilia Topuria has done it, Jailton Almeida has done it in the relevant weight class, and these are hyper-new guys.

I'm not wading through the entire history of the UFC to show you examples of guys who moved up a weight class and won fights at the same level.

Amanda Nunes does it every other fight, defending titles all the while.

Pretending this is a unique situation is ridiculous.

What you're seeing here is the cognitive dissonance of all the idiots who for a decade called Jones a massive LHW suddenly realizing that he wasn't really that big and wouldn't be another Ubereem or Ngannou if he just moved up.

Meanwhile normally people saw shit like this photo of Jones out of camp and realized this a long time ago:

jon+jones+fat.jpg

But when you see the above non-cutting Jones compared to today you can clearly see that he's packed on a good amount of size compared to his LHW days.

I don't care about his physique.

He looks like a good, lean heavyweight.

That didn't take 3 years to achieve.
First off, again, tell me you've never tried to recompose your body without saying it.
Actually convince me you actually have lifted weights seriously lol
And once again, it wasn't 3 years. He's been in this condition for awhile.
He took a couple years to gain weight seriously
You know who else did that and was successful? Gsp
I think they're good.
It's not as simple as seeing numbers on a scale.
It's the equivalent of building a car. Or a home. You take your time. Or there are massive performance issues.

I dont know who these guys are.
None of them were champions.
None of them of fighting for HW championships
None of them are in GOAT discussion

Levels to this, period.

GSP retired, he didn't take years out to bulk up, LOL.

Jon Jones would have more credibility if he'd retired, too.

Instead he needs precisely 12 times longer than Jailton Almeida to move up a weight class?

Jailton Almeida took 3 months between the Maques fight (205) and the Porter fight (265), and competed TWICE in BJJ in between, and that's only according to what Tapology notes.

What warrants the 12-fold time elapse, other than notions of 'Francis wouldn't fight him' and other sheer fantasy?

He looks the exact same as he did at LHW before the weightcut.

Actually, he looks worse. An extra 10-15 pounds on his gut.

I dont know who these guys are.

That's very apparent, buddy, and no hatred to you.

Like Mr Bodybuilder over here, everything is fresh and new and interesting, and nothing is bullshit and below board.

Enjoy the fights, much love, let's catch up after the show, but as someone who watches the sport on a weekly basis, I believe we're being spun a fairytale here, and there's no need for us to fall out about it!

A whole week?

I'm not even a professional athlete, it's going to take me at least a decade to start lifting weights if it takes 3 years for a pro to put on 30 lbs of not-even-muscle.

Indeed

These guys were losing fights in unknown organization in Brazil or putting on 8 lbs to fight at 145lbs

Its a different ballgame when you have millions at stake and your fighting against ONLY the best and most dangerous.

Different levels for different outcomes.

If you're not familiar with training, exercise and weight gain. It wont make any sense. But it takes time and work at an elite level without "aids"

Enjoy the fights too

Everything I say just soars over your head like a Boeing 747
Godspeed brother, I wish you luck lol

Really just looks like 205 Jon Jones in between fight camps

Lighting is huge here
Plus he definitely gained some fat on purpose.
Everyone on here acting like psychopath Jones isnt potentially the smartest fighter ever
He knows what he's doing

I love fans :)

The difference between you and most Sherdoggers is, you care about a specific fighter, most of us are all about the sport lol

Nobody cares about Jones 'gaining fat on purpose', what we want is the best for the sport.

Jon Jones fighting often is 'best for the sport'. Him taking 3 years out 'even though he didn't have to' to potentially get smashed by Gane, not so much.

@ me after the fight, friend, I'll try to remember to do the same win, lose or draw! All chat is good chat here.
