I'm white, none of us know all the details of this case, but the amount of videos I've seen of racist white people thinking they can say or do whatever is absolutely insane. There's a famous video depicting almost this exact situation: Drunk as fuck middle aged white guy and wife, in Thailand, talking shit about the country and the people and how America is so much better. And guess what? The crowd beat the fuck out of them and left them unconscious in the street.

That's what's needed for some hateful people, to get that same hate back. Then maybe they'll change their idiotic behaviors and opinions.

Also, make a thread for every racist attack on black/latin/asian people and I'm sure you'll have 1000x more threads than one of these.

Do you have videos showing a white crowd attacking a lone black guy because statistically speaking, it happens much more often like this than it does the other way around. There was the one where the teenage boy was beaten to death which went much worse, but I have been on the receiving end of this a couple times and when it does happen the other way around, it is a national discussion of racism.

If the guy that got beat up initiated the physical aspect of the confrontation he's an idiot. No situational awareness. There's obviously a fucking horde of people just dying to have an excuse to beat him up and seemingly every man of the wrong appearance and any woman of the wrong appearance trying to diffuse the situation.

Seriously, even if you are 100% in the right, just walk away and don't get involved or escalate anything. And no, I'm not victim blaming, but just saying people need to use their fucking brains. Good to know that causing shit in a biker bar is the equivalent environment as being on the streets in Cincinnati, and that the bikers then started attacking all black people they could see and knocked out cold a woman trying to break up the fight or tend to the injured person. Another poster pointed out that video. I am saying it is so extremely rare. Black/white crime is ten fold what white/black crime and if this had been reversed, it would have been probably marches in cincy. And an entire era doesn’t make this ok. It was disgusting then and disgusting now.

I have no idea as to what the statistics of that are, I was merely commenting on the fact that there was a similar video.

My point is that people rationalized a gang attack due to the fact that the person in the video did not pay his tab. Either we universally condemn gang assault, or we allow room for context and rationalization.
