I would say that everything you mentioned was disgusting and unwarranted, and I hope everyone involved is held accountable, especially the dude who punched that woman. But I think it's wrong to post a story like this and portray it as a racially motivated hate crime while leaving out what started the physical violence. Do you disagree?

Role reversals have their own unwritten rules that are highly inconsistent.

A black comedian is allowed to say that white people this, white people that, don’t you hate when white people…. A white comedian talking similarly about black people is going to cause an international spectacle of outrage.

Similar unwritten rules exist when speaking of Jews vs Muslims or Hindus vs Muslims. Criticize the Jews and Hindu extremists to your heart’s content, but dare to criticize the Muslims and the consequences will be severe.
