In fairness, I don't think anyone can envision their own kid murdering them over some puppy love fling. Run away? Sure. Murder? That's gotta be pretty low on the list of concerns.

Seemed like the parents were already aware of their plans to rob them, though. At that point, you should take action.

I can see why the appearances would fool just about anyone though. If you told me those two kids were murderers, I'd find it hard to believe it. Looks like two fat, pampered kids, not the type of people that would take a life and then have a laugh about it.

When you're a sociopath, you're a sociopath, I guess. There's nothing you can do for a person like that, apart from staying the hell away from them. It's a damn shame that people can get sentimentally attached to people who are incapable of returning such sentiments, especially when related by blood.

Anyway, not blaming the dad or anything, more so making a point that there's a time when you have to cut off people from your life. Sometimes you need to be able to possess that sort of "cruel streak". If you don't, those people are going to put you in a whole lot of trouble.

Sometimes you just have to cut your losses, which is what the dad should've done with his daughter.

You always hear the horror stories of a daughter or son being excommunicated by their parents, but there are cases where it's the right thing to do. This would've been one of them.

When your child turns out to be a literal demon spawn, there's not a whole lot you can do about it, outside of that. Certainly not after they've already turned out that way. You can always ponder about what could've been, how things may have been different, but the reality is as it is, and nothing can change that.

1. Age of majority is 18 in the US. Dad was on the hook until then. She's only 16.
2. While he knew she was troubled, I highly doubt he had any idea it was that bad. I'm sure he did the best he could under the circumstances and I don't know if anyone could have known what she had planned.

I’m black, and in my opinion Black people are being used and taken advantage of by BLM and other political groups who don’t care about their interests and are just taking advantage of their misery to rile
Them up and stir up racial tension that only hurts us.

I don’t see how BLM helps black lawyers, engineers, and Mortgage Brokers who are just trying to make a buck and provide for their families and stay under the radar.

I don’t really care if a convicted felon resists arrest and dies for it. There are so many other real victims in the world.
