Gunning down 6 Asian women in an environment of increasing hate crimes against Asians, is exactly the same as a car jacking gone wrong. Asra Nomani is a fucking idiot, no wonder she voted for Trump.
There's a headlining crime megathread for a reason.Delighted to see this disgusting event being brushed under the carpet by not only mainstream media, social media but also Sherdog.
Well done to all involved.
Yes but nobody knew that to begin with, the possibility of it being a hate crime drove the coverage. This other case is obviously just a car jacking gone wrong. It’s a dumb comparison. There's strong evidence race had nothing to do with the massage parlor murders... it more likely the targeting of suspected prostitutes by a religous wacko.
Its probably more of the wording and not the crime, as 1 white man gunning down asians is "white supremacy", but 2 black teens killing this bloke is not about "black supremacy". If you can come to the supremacy conclusion based on 1 person from one race, 2 persons from the same race would be even better to stereotype an entire part of a population, no?Gunning down 6 Asian women in an environment of increasing hate crimes against Asians, is exactly the same as a car jacking gone wrong. The key difference is the search for a motive. The car jacking had a clear motive, to steal a car. So there was no reason to allude to any racial component. The other guy walked into a salon and shot 6 Asian women in an environment of increasing hate crimes against Asians. Including the racial component is relevant as a broader exploration of the motive. Imo both cases are clear cut murders, and all 3 of these upstanding citizens should be locked up for a very long time, the racial angle is just stupid and dividing when its only used for 1 specific group, and they shouldnt go there at all if they dont intend to apply it equally. Nothing is as racist as the woke press, nor creates as many racist as they do in their quest for profit.
The car jacking motive is fine, but there wouldnt be any issue to say they targeted that specific dude due to racial issues, like they do with many other cases. Its a valid comparison when you take into account how low the press goes in their coverage of events and motives. If a white couple carjacked an asian dude and killed him, do you think the carjacking motive or the supposed hate crime motive would be highlighted in the press? We both know what angle they would take....The key difference is the search for a motive. The car jacking had a clear motive, to steal a car. So there was no reason to allude to any racial component. No, we don’t know what angle they would take. If it was a clear carjacking gone wrong I’d expect they’d cover it as such. This is just about some white people whining now that white crimes are under the microscope. Of course these same people complaining have absolutely no problem making race an issue when minorities do stuff, in fact they campaign for the media to focus MORE on race or religion, when it suits them. The car jacking motive is fine, but there wouldnt be any issue to say they targeted that specific dude due to racial issues, like they do with many other cases. Racial issues do exist, the press just does a horrible job at presenting the reality of it. The needless racial twists we have nowadays are not needed and is dishonest journalism. If you push the "white supremacy" angle, be sure to push all other ethnic groups for racial shit, or dont push the agenda at all.No, we don’t know what angle they would take. FYI, I'm not white. Motive only comes out when the perps are not white...if you think you know how CNN works...there's a bridge in NY selling for 1k...No, we don’t know what angle they would take. That's a real tragedy. This teenagers took a man's life and have now ruined their own. Terrible thing. How those kids got to that point is just beyond me. As far as the media is concerned, is anybody surprised anymore? I'd rather not distract from the story itself but the slanted way that the media gleefully uses/doesn't use the skin color of the people involved in the story is nothing new.
13 and 15 and doing carjackings......Parents should be put in jail as well.
