Crime Headlining Crime Megathread Vol 4.

I didn't know there were still mopeds. Cops have a tough job. Keep the douchebags off the streets to protect residents, then when one wrecks everybody is upset.

I don’t even know why I bothered watching. At best that cop is a reckless driver.

The cop car definitely rear ended him. Aside from the commentary by the witness, you can see and hear it in the video, and the scooter is still moving after that until he comes off.
You don't have to be going fast to hit the sidewalk without a helmet and have it be fatal. I remember reading that over 40% of fatal motorcycle crashes in the US involve riders without helmets.

Picture a Vespa but with more tassles.

I've tried a 450 before but I've realized I'm not man enough. Quite like bowling In my 20's I used that 16lbs ball now I'm slinging that 13lbs ball. Even got me a rose in the middle.

Oh nice. I've always been a fan of the older model vespas. Had a 79 125x but the legshield lacked the curve of the 60s models.

I was about four days away from getting my dream scooter until Covid drained my savings.

Modeled after the original Lambretta scooters from the 60s. It's a 150 so it's still got some get up and go and it's perfect for the city I live in.

New Orleans is a horrid bike riding city despite the "Top 10!" Lists we end up on. I've had two friends die because of drunk drivers here. I dated a girl with a bullshit Kymco that almost got her killed.

anyone riding a 2 stroke nowadays is poor.

#maga

although your insta-wheelie line got me going

Truthfully I'm more and more of a 4 wheeler fan as I get older. Ride the shit outta the suzuki 400z 2008. The artic cat is a workhorse though. I live in the mountains.

This is your mistake, if you can keep it under 49cc no helmet no license. Following the law of statistics, we'd both be better off in a couple of years.

Eh, you basically need a bulletproof vest and a helmet just to walk around this fucking city anymore. Riding around with on that or a Vespa at least you know it's safe. I've been hearing nonstop horror stories about these Chinese knockoffs lately. Worse is the Vietnamese frankenscooters though. They'd just weld two scooters together that would fall apart midride.

Trust me.. I've had to talk myself out of these deathtraps a few times.

Lol, I googled it and can see the comparison.
Giggle all you want though, skinhead and scooter culture go hand in hand.

Man... American History X really destroyed a treasured subculture that essentially created reggae lol.

Also fuck you @BIKES! I legit can't buy the crimson and cream Grand Alloy now because now I can't unsee it now.

Even though you live in New Orleans It is quite frightening. Last time I was there my buddy threw rocks at windows till someone opened up. Chilled out in that kush section 8 all weekend. It was close the dudes on the picnic tables were getting rowdy.

You all up in the hood though playa, let me know how it is to be a New Orleans gangsta there, ginger...

Oh half this city is section 8. I don't need to be hood, just check the news. This Covid shit has people clapping nonstop it seems. I live in the FQ so shootings, stabbings, and ODs are pretty normal, but even when I lived in Mid City thirteen year olds were carjacking and shooting people a few blocks up. What's crazy is how underreported crime in New Orleans is.

Laugh all you want about me being a ginger, but NOPD pays no mind to a red headed Quarter Rat. When did you last visit? 2019 was a pretty mellow year as far as homicides go.

As I said every situation is different , why does it have to be a one size fits all with leftist..
Because as has been seen here and the Rittenhosue threads, is that leftists can't make comparisons. When they do, they are hilariously off and are apples to oranges nonsense at best.

Maryland man accused of shooting at truck of Trump supporters after they honked at him
Douglas Kuhn, 50, allegedly fired a shotgun as a truck drove by after they honked at him, police said. No one was injured.
A Maryland man is accused of firing a shotgun at a truck with two Trump supporters after they honked as he was putting up a sign in his yard, police said.

No one was hurt in the incident, which happened around 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Kingsville, a community of around 4,400 northeast of Baltimore, Baltimore County police said in a statement.

Douglas Kuhn, 50, was arrested on two counts of first-degree assault and other charges, police said.

Police said that Kuhn was putting up a political sign on his property and that the men had a political sign in the back of the truck. They did not provide additional details about the signs.

The people in the truck told NBC affiliate WBAL of Baltimore that they are Trump supporters and were giving a friendly honk to Kuhn while he put up a Black Lives Matter sign.

The victim "honked his horn several times" at Kuhn, and he "picked up a shotgun and discharged it as they drove by," causing no injuries or damage to the vehicle, police said.

Bradley Lang, who was in the truck with his father, told the station that the honk was intended as a neighborly gesture.

"It's Kingsville, it's a friendly area. You know, everyone honks at each other," he said. He told the station they were around 100 to 200 feet away when Kuhn fired.
Sounds like a real kuhnt.

"Today's society, that's just how they think and operate. This is something that we, as law enforcement, been telling the public for years. It's not shocking to us because we been doing this for years," Rowland Police Chief Hubert B. Graham said. This is a trend that is continuing on its natural course.
Police should seriously respond only in large groups. Hopefully regular people wake up when policing decreases due to their reluctance to operate in singles or pairs

Elmer Manzano: What we know about the man accused of killing 1 HPD officer, wounding another
HOUSTON – KPRC 2 Investigates has learned the name of the suspect accused of killing one Houston police officer and wounding another is 51-year-old Elmer Manzano.

According to state criminal records, Manzano was charged in 2002 with felony evading of police. Manzano pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 120 days in jail. Manzano did not serve his sentence in state prison which is normally the case, according to defense attorney Shelby Burns.

How Manzano may have had a firearm, considering his past, is a key question for investigators, Burns says.

“There is a very narrow exception in Texas that allows for a convicted felon, after a five-year waiting period to possess a gun, but only when in the home they reside in.”

It is unclear whether Manzano had the gun legally or not.

Multiple sources told KPRC 2 Investigates that officers had visited the residence where the shooting occurred as recently as this past Sunday.

Officials at Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Manzano is an El Salvador national who was illegally in the U.S.

"A motion has been filed to revoke probation in a child molestation case in Webster County.

A judge had previously sentenced Petie and Aaron Schwartz to five years of probation after both pleaded guilty to sex crimes, according to court records.

Back in June, a pregnant 13-year old Amish girl from Seymour sought medical treatment. Investigators say that Petie and Aaron Schwartz were later charged with six counts of statutory rape in connection to the case. The brothers were given probation, but avoided jail time from that sentence.

The prosecutor says the men have already had contact with the victim, which would violate conditions of their probation and could lead to 15 years of prison. A judge will decide if they’ll be sent to prison.

Prior to the sentence for probation, the Webster County prosecutor says proving those charges wouldn’t have been easy, even though a detective says both Schwartz’s admitted to it. A plea deal was offered for lesser charges of third-degree child molestation due to lack of evidence, according to the prosecutor.

As part of the plea deal, the two men had to pay a fine, serve 100 hours of community service and write an apology letter to the Amish community. They will also have to register as sex offenders for the rest of their lives."

Update: The two brothers will now be going to prison for violating their probation.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/north-carolina-pastor-accused-peeing-173514848.html

The police report provided to The Journal said Beverly told authorities that she noticed "someone standing over her" and "woke up feeling something warm on her body." The police report said that she identified Chalmers as the person who peed on her and that she started screaming after she realized what happened.

"I jump up and I seen his private area out and I screamed and that woke everybody up," Beverly told Fox 2 Detroit on October 14. "By that time I actually looked at him and I see him shake himself off and I'm like this man just peed on me! I looked and there was a puddle of pee in the seats!"

The police report said that when the flight arrived at Detroit Metro Airport, authorities questioned Beverly about the incident and Chalmers denied her claims. "I'm a pastor, that is out of my character and I didn't do it," Chalmers was quoted as saying in the report.
