It’s not cute. He probably should have slowed down, but I don’t feel like they ran him down by accident. Sucks to be this guy. He’ll probably never be physically right.

There doesn't seem to be any backstory which would suggest the police needed to use deadly force to stop him.

At a cursory glance the cop probably just took the corner too fast.

It also looks like moped guy abandoned the turn and tried to cut back onto the sidewalk after the cop was already turning.

Seems obvious the cop hit him. Looks like they were both up on the sidewalk too. So cop meant to hit him or needs fired and his license revoked for not being able to keep his vehicle on the road.

What kind of moped/scooter are we talking about? I had a Honda Spree as a kid, and it topped out at 27mph. I don't get how one could be involved in a police chase.

Bunch of dudes were riding illegally in the middle of the road. The guys on dirt bikes got away. This ole fellah on the moped needs to up his game, he got rammed by jelly donut, aka farva.

Needless of where you fall on the sprectrum I chalk this up as win win. 1 less moped dipshit who doesn't know how to ride and a cop on permanent desk duty.

Shit, we should be toasting beers fellahs.

Edit: I own a y250x 2 stroke, after marketed to the gills. The cops would never catch the tater.

Hard to tell, definitely some tiny step through.
Not really a chase in the video at least.

If there's one thing I've learned in this world. It's that the cops are always in the right. I look forward to the police chief to set us right.

Depends. 150cc can get up pretty high based on body weight. Even 125cc hit like 45mph.

What's the y250x 2 stroke? I know scooter stuff but only because scooter culture is so deeply ingrained in skinhead/ska culture.

Looks like Rhode Island is one of those freedom loving states without helmet laws.
Seems weird that they'd have mandatory rider training (which a lot of US states apparently don't) and not helmets.

Edit: Apparently passengers have to have helmets and riders have to have helmets until they are 21, after which they are allowed to die.

Picture a Vespa but with more tassles.

I've tried a 450 before but I've realized I'm not man enough. Quite like bowling In my 20's I used that 16lbs ball now I'm slinging that 13lbs ball. Even got me a rose in the middle.

Doesn't look good to me. Cop car being up on the sidewalk just does not look good.

Of course that cop was chasing the tail end of an illegal "quote" motorcycle "quote" street ride. He got anxious.

Now back to off topic, there's nothing like feeling a powerband kick off on a 2 stroke, insta-wheelie.

It’s time we deliver some Saudi justice and surgically paralyze the cop (or whatever equivalent injury he received) that did that

anyone riding a 2 stroke nowadays is poor.

#maga

although your insta-wheelie line got me going

More complete video.

Mopeds are like fat girls, fun to ride but you don’t want your friends to see you riding one.

It sounds like the moped driver crashed and maybe the cruiser ran him over? There’s a reason police aren’t supposed to chase motorcycles and mopeds-because someone fleeing on one is too stupid to know when they life is in danger and police should know better
