Mostly I made this thread to vent, but this one really hit me hard when it popped across my news feed. Maybe because I'm a parent and because of his last words to his mother, IDK. But it makes me sick, what the hell is wrong with people that they need to do shit like this?

Just give it a few minutes. Right now someone out there is frantically searching and hoping to find that the poor kid has a criminal record so they can justify this murder

Like I said, I mostly created the thread to vent. Kids being gunned down shouldn't be the norm. A mom had to listen to her kid's last words over the phone begging her to come save him after he was shot. Society is f'd up when we just shrug at stuff like this and move along. I'll go on with my life too, I'm no better than others. This one...IDK, it just resonated.

It wasn't committed by a cop so that's unlikely to be the case.

If it happened the way the family is saying it's a fucking tragedy. There have been too many of these stories that turn out to have something else entirely going on though.

Generally speaking completely innocent people don't get gunned down like this. Yes it happens, but it's comparatively rare.

I won't be shocked to learn this was gang related or something.

It could turn out to be a variety of things. I'm not claiming it was a random act, I have no idea. Could be the kids had beef with other kids at their school. Could be they had words with someone in the mall that followed them outside. Whatever it is, it's not okay is my point. That's just not a call a mother should have to get. Ever.
