what i meant by the plastic is,that you cant use it in competition right? cuz it can hurt you opponenents hand. its not allowed here i think.they dont even sell those in holland
top ten is the biggest brand used in holland,it was the olypic brand(now its green hill),and the arethe thinnest,but offer very good shock absortion, google it,and you`ll find out

Gotcha bvca. Yeah, this headgear is definitely not for boxing competitions. It was designed for training mixed martial arts, kickboxing, boxing, and self defense. It works great for people who have injuries to their eyes or nose and also for those people who don't like to get hit/kicked in the face :wink:

I take boxing, MMA, and Judo seperately I would like a headgear for all three. Obviously one for sparring in boxing but I also want to prevent cauliflower ear when I grapple in judo and MMA.

Hey Mojo,

Given your situation I think you should get two separate headgears. I'd get one that is for boxing/MMA and maybe just some earguards for the judo.

Let me know if you find anything that fits everything you are looking for. I'd like to see it.

Okay, now all i need is a working model. If you are serious ( I was ) I'd be happy to test these things. The face-gear build looks very agile and light, and being built for MMA it was made so grappling is actually applicable. Any other face-shields are too bulky (i.e. fencing masks) for fighting. This means that sticks/swords could be applied to an MMA combat environment without the hassle of broken faces.

IMO, thats worth testing, and yeah, I'd be happy to document my findings with pictures AND literature.

I have used Everlast boxing headgear before, but it doesnt stay on
But as long as your opponent isnt grabbing it itll stay on OK, not great.
