HBO - Chernobyl anyone?

Great show

All I have to look forward now since rockets got bounced and game of thrones sucks

Incredible show so far.

That last scene of episode 2 was some brilliant film making

Really liked it.

Watched both episodes last night. Couldn't help but be a little annoyed at the English accents etc. Wouldn't have minded the mini-series in subtitles. I do understand the whole "it wouldn't appeal to Americans" though so it's all good.

I thought this was about Chernobyl Diaries...the visual of that kid describing how people being burned alive sticks to my mind.

Incredible show so far truly terrifying and when the dude asked 'can you taste metal' I was like hell yeah I can, end of episode 2 was truly scary.

That's the guy they kept alive just to study the effects right? The pics are fucking horrific
I really wish I never googled that. Fucking hell.. Kinda reminded me of Unit 571, where prisoners (or 'logs' as they were referred to) were forced to endure horrific experiments.

This is the best show I’ve seen in a very long time. It’s just so weighty and does such a good job capturing that feeling of dread. I hope they can keep this up.

Here’s a really good collection of photographs covering the plant and the surrounding town. Tons of good information in here.

Dank Chernobyl memes lol

Just caught the first episode.

This is pretty good stuff.

I read some dude tracked these guys down and the last of them to die was actually in 2005. Independently confirmed.

Russian sources claim they died. It's possible none survived being so close to the reactor after spewing radiation for nearly half a day. And sending 3 guys to certain death to fix what was the result of gross negligence looks bad when you read it in history books. I think it's entirely possible they 'were survived' (just in writing) and lived in anonymity for the remainder of their lives (lie). In any case, this would not be the first time history is rewritten by the soviets in order to hide a monumental fuck-up within their communist paradise. Or maybe someone had impersonated them for financial gain or for attention. But russians sources had them die

Just watched the first 2 episodes. Wow. I was a young teen when this happened so I remember it, but this show so far really hits home on just how bad it actually was.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

This show allowed me to say "What "the fuck" ever" to Game of Thrones the last 3 weeks...because I had Chernobyl to look forward to.(and Animal Kingdom in 2 weeks)

Just watched the first two episodes.

Best thing I have watched in forever.

I actually shouldn't hype it up too much because part of the enjoyment was flipping it on not expecting anything, and finding a amazing mini-series.
