Have you changed your mind on a subject due to the War Room?

I'm really curious!

Do the lively debates lead to anything or is it just folks getting on a soap box and sharing their thought vomit and views?

Personally, my thoughts on gun control have changed based on what I've read here (after filtering out the trolls).

I no longer want to ban all guns.

I think the second amendment is a complicated manner.

I DO think that we need more laws around gun control and regulation, but am not hopeful that anything productive will be accomplished until I get elected.

I'm discouraged that the LEFT thinks that all conservatives want a Wild West scenario, and that he RIGHT thinks that the liberals (and the government) want to take their guns away.

BTW. This is NOT a debate on the second amendments. I'm just sharing how this forum changed my mind on a particular subject.

Please share.

Vote Cooz.

Nah Im neutral to everything except right to think freely peacefully. Very set that way though it allows me to conceptualize believing a variety of opposing ideas.

I'm more amenable to #Christianity due to the positive example of perennial good guy @ripskater.

I'm generally a lot more convinced on the value of running deficits, relative to austerity.

That's probably the main one for me.

The War Room's ignorant stance is almost making me a Muslim.

White privilege. I used to have a negative reaction whenever I read that phrase. While my opinion hasn't changed 100% I'm a lot more open to the idea, but only when phrased as majority privilege. There's many other issues I've softened my stance on due to the debates here which have led me to do my own research, but for whatever reason that one sticks out in my mind.

A lot really, both in the WR and in Grappling, thats why i stick so much to this board.

I might change my mind on money in politics, still an open question. I've changed my views on the second amendment, slightly against, since it got incorporated. I'm in favor of a declared war on the Islamic State- the first middle east war I've ever supported. In general I'm more trusting of the government and the bureaucracy because I understand it better, and it doesn't scare me anymore. The WR has influenced all of those to at least some degree.

You say you need more laws - "productive" ones at that - which is more than a little vague.

Also; "gun control and regulation" - are those two separate things? Why can't you be specific about what you want? Anyway...

I've always been of the mind that most people in favor of gun control and/or productive regulation garner 95% of their knowledge regarding the subject of firearms from TV, movies and comic books. The War Room has helped change my mind in that now I believe that number is closer to 98%.

lmfao, none of you basement dwellers could ever change my mind on anything. I will sometimes irl change a stance based on educated debate and learning new information, no way that'll ever happen in this shit hole though.

No but the Mayberry has made me really think about my stance on tipping.

I lean further and further right the more I'm exposed to the war room's left.
I used to be a pro-abortion, anti-gun hippie.

And that's the difference between the two forums in a nutshell. The WR will modify your views on race relations, religion, economics and politics. The Mayberry will make you rethink tipping and if you should be happy when your gf gives you an iPad.

Abortion used to be a gray area for me but now after being part of the warroom discussion I believe late term abortions should be extended up to 30 years out of the womb.

Yes, I used to be open and tolerant and liked by everyone. Now, I absolutely hate everyone that isn't a white male and no one likes me.

Jack Savage has convinced me that Hillary Clinton is actually a "non establishment" candidate and that he is an independent and not actually a "liberal democrat."
