i always wondered what would have happened if i had moved up from 160's to 215's ....

i would always imagine myself like running circles around the dude and getting a single leg and trippin him lol.....

Much friendlier if you can wear a gi and throw for a win:D

yeh i've had days where i lost 10+lbs

how bad do you want it?

Get eating soups, celery and clean carbs, do lots of jogging, invest in a sweatsuit, go to the sauna, make sure you get lots of sleep with heavy covers. Stop lifting weights, focus on cardio exercises.

well what a waste of time
just found out the weight categories have been made smaller
its now under 79kg or 79kg to 91kg
im about 89kg at the moment and the comp is on october 1st.

How long have you been training?

"ive been doing bjj off and on for a year.
why?"

oooooo..... yea you dont really need to cut weight.... its not that important in this stage in bjj life.....

yea just take it easy, go to the weight class you can go and suck in the atmosphere and see how things go, you can try to cut weight in a later time maybe in a later belt category

how many bjj tourneys youve been to?

A 'year...on and off'...says to me, focus more on training over weight loss until you feel you are at a decent level in fitness(you feel fightin-fit):icon_lol:

This early you should focus on tech/training and compete wherever you land, and I suspect that when training is turned up you will be much lighter anyway.

Not too serious, but you should consider 'cutting' weight as fine tuning in a way. Thats when the rest is taken care of.

Tech/fitness is the huge deviation in early comps and weight don't really mean much.:D
