ive already posted this in the diet forum but im really looking for some help here.
im currently weighing in at 90kg. i have a no gi competition on october 1st.
the 2 weight categories i could enter are either 91kg or 85kg.
the last time the same competition was held there was an 88kg weight category so i thought i would be ok but theyve changed it.
should i stick to the weight im at try to get down to 85kg in 4 weeks?
im up at 5am for work so dont really have an option of training in the morning. im home at 5pm at night. i get in, shower, eat and go to training
the routine i have planned for the next 4 weeks is as follows
monday
7pm 40 minutes weights
squats, deadlift rack pulls, high pulls
20 minutes cardio high intensity
8pm 2 hours bjj
tuesday
7pm 50 minutes weights
shrugs, clean and press, incline press, dips, dumbell snatch, sprawl drills
40 min cardio low intensity
1.5 hours bjj drills
wednesday.
no practice on this night. any suggestions on what i can do?
what style of cardio?
thursday
7pm 40 minutes weights
deadlifts, prison squats, high pulls
20 minutes cardio high intensity
8pm 2 hours bjj
friday is the same as wednesday, no practice.
any suggestions?
saturday
midday
2 hours bjj
5pm
2 hours wrestling
sunday
was considering swimming?
my diet is ok
im up and out of my house by 6am. im at work at 7am and have 3 scrambled egg on wheat toast with a bottle of water.
10 am is my first break. i normally have some chicken with pasta and onions. or maybe a jacket potato with beans and cheese if im feeling really hungry (maybe once a week).
1pm is my next break
i normally have some ready made tuna and some wheat toast. i find if i have a large carb meal in the midday i feel drowsy.
i finish work at 4pm and am normally home by 5pm. could i try eating on my journey home? any suggestions?
before training i will have some form of protein, either chicken or tuna and some wholegrain rice.
training finishes at 10pm and it takes me an hour to drive home. i normally have vegetables and whatever meat my mum has cooked when i get in. should i try some protein shakes after training?
was even considering an mr shake when i get up but was concerned about then weight gain.
any help you could offer would be really aprreciated.
cheers
james
