It seems like sequels to comedies are the hardest thing to pull off ever.

Sequels to other things like Terminator and Star Wars the original were way better

But comedies?

Can anyone think of any examples?

Quick off top of my head

Dumb and Dumber - awesome! - sequel was so bad it was disgraceful

Zoolander - one of my favs - Zoolander 2 ... well not horrible but wasn't good

Airplane 2 -

Hangover 2 & especially 3 :eek::eek::eek:

Anchor man II - alright

But never have I seen a sequel comedy that's BETTER than the original

Help me out here

Don't think it's the popular opinion but Naked Gun 2 1/2 is my fav of the three movies. They were all great though

Christmas Vacation is better than the original IMO.

Christmas Vacation.

Thread...

Clerks, 22 Jump Street. I'll think of a few others, but there aren't many.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

And I'm done...

Edit: Someone beat me to it

I tried to watch one of these but seemed to be incapable of watching it

Maybe not my type of humour :/

I disagree about Christmas Vacation, but I enjoy European Vacation more than the original.

Christmas Vacation is another comedy I can't get into, honestly don't understand the appeal of that movie :/

I share this opinion on the Naked Gun movies. 2 1/2 was slightly better than the first one, and the 3rd was decent.

Hot shots part deux was better than the first. Possibly Ave ventura: When nature calls.

Man, the Naked Gun films are GOAT for me. They still make me laugh today the same way I did when I first saw them as some asshole kid

August Underground's Mordum is better than the original August Underground. Is it a comedy? Depends on your sense of humour I suppose...

One of the few things my parents introduced me to that I don't cringe at these days.
