Has there been super matches that...

but i mean same thing could be said about every heavyweight champ there was before jones moved up to face GANE!
Bro, this is about respect, as in, both fighters like and respect each other a lot... Why are you bringing JJ and Gane lol

jj and gane happened because jones ducked francine. purely because he was shook and was waiting for the last moment chance to claim the belt once he was gone.

everyone and their own damn grandmother (dead or alive) knows that jon only took the gane fight for the ufc hw belt because francine was not under ufc contract anymore.

so i guess what i am actually saying is kinda the opposite of what ts is wanting, jones didnt fight francine out of mutual respect, jon ducked that fight so hard because he is a coward.

Bro, did you even read the OP? It has nothing to do with JJ.... And am I the obsessed one with those things? LOL smh

yeah so im actually giving you informTION in a reverse angle on why those fights didnt happen.

look into it then turn it inside out and i think it may make sense.

Fitch vs Koscheck…

The all-out blood-and-guts war to end all all-out blood-and-guts wars…
True, came to mind, but not a super fight. Since Koschek hits hard, the fight might've been good.

Also DC went to LHW cause of Cain. He was a HW in strikeforce.

Like, can you think of any super match that ended up not happening due to mutual respect between both players, who didn't want to fight the other one?

I would not count Khabib and Islam at all ofc because they're pretty much brothers, and by their code and strong community tie, they'd never fight against the other and I don't even like to speculate how it'd have been a match up (nothing against doing it ofc) because to me it's like speculating how two brothers who help each other and are equally talented would unfold.

But can you think of a match up that ended up not happening because of too much respect between the fighters?
Anderson and Jon were "Friends". But Anderson had no issue calling out the smaller guy in GSP. He has too much respect when it is someone who will crush him.

If Belal beats Shavkat/Ian Garry Islam said he won’t move up to WW as long as Belal is champ because they train together

Kamaru Usman said that if he beat Leon he wanted to move up to LHW because Izzy and him are friends, wouldn’t have gone well for Usman though

Jones and Aspinal

Seriously, most violent potential fight ever.

Damn you Arona.

Although, I did hear first hand from Wanderlei himself about the fight in the gym he had with Shogun over the Dog. About 12 years ago a friend brought Wanderlei and Andre Dida out to my friends Nightclub. We hosted them and I asked about the fight, told me the whole story.

That's amazing. Any details that arent common knowledge? Id love to hear.

He talked about how it happened, Shogun had the dog for sale and Wanderlei didnt wanna pay for it so he challenged him to a fight instead. Happened in the Chute Boxe gym and the height of their Pride careers. It was back and forth and Wanderlei won by a decision, he won it with a big knock down.

I asked him who won and Wandrlei said "Well, I have the dog haha"

And I said by knock out and he said "no decision but with a big knock down, almost knock out"

Then we had a great time and partied it up hard. I found the pics from that night, never forget it. Wanderlei is my fav of all time.
