Has the War Room always been so right leaning? Paranoid?

I don't think so. It wasn't this way when Bush was in office. But.. the whole country was different then. Everything is a lot different than 10 years ago. (and not because of Bush or Obama, those are just time-references)

Internet forums that focus on political discussion are often a bastion for the mentally ill. Crazy uncles who were once relegated to awkwardly spewing their paranoid delusions to unreceptive family members during thanksgiving dinner now have a safe space where similar like minded loons can jerk one another off with few dissenting facts getting in the way.

The fact that OP is able to represent himself as at all contrary to rightist thought speaks volumes of just how ludicrously and delusionally far right a large portion of this community is.

Liberals are the most paranoid people I know. They keep talking about WW3 if Trump gets elected, concentration camps for muslims and Mexicans being thrown into the desert to build a wall LOL. Yeah us republicans are so paranoid of losing our guns, I just sold my AR 15 to buy a $1200 carbon fiber hunting bow. Truth is liberals don't want the government handouts to go away so they fear monger.

Trump is literally Hitler.

If Trump is elected, America will be doomed.

And the other billions of things the left cries about. But noooo, the right wingers are the paranoid ones.

It's always had a strong right wing presence... paranoia has gradually gotten worse though. If I was to put a catalyst through in my mind, it would the ACA. Specifically, the GOP losing the ACA battle in the real world. It seems to have triggered (lol) a forum swing that somewhat parallels Congress's anti-Obama posturing but without the need to be moderate themselves because they need to be re-elected.

Conservatives and liberals really argued over that thing and losing hurt. Some people just didn't bounce back.

Some people are afraid to hear the truth.
Yep, you scaredy cats are afraid of the truth ripskater lays down. Open your eyes to the reality of demons and sleeper communist, atheist muslims who used the forces of evil to secret the most powerful position in the country!

ignorant shit like this makes up 90% of the forum, yet somehow whiny bitch right wing nuts manage to cry foul as the victim all the time. it's like trying to share a room with a bunch of psychos screaming at you and then crying when you give them a dirty look.

i expect i'll be reported just for saying this because they are such whiny little bitches. run and go cry to the mods little bitches, the big mean liberal is name calling again.

of course, the irony of me "name calling" is that 1) i'm fucking accurate in the name i'm portraying these psychos as, and 2) right wingers are the ones with all the profound condescending name calling. go through the threads and count how many times you read "libs," "lefties," "libtards," and on and on it goes. they even manage to turn social justice in a name and condescendingly call people they dont like "sjws" like the condescending little cunts they are.

it's utterly ridiculous the bullshit they spew and then the crying they demand in return. this country would be 1000x better if they just shut the fuck up already. even idiots like ripskater keep calling our president "hussein obama" like it's an insult. what a bunch of cucky cunty fucks.

No doubt why you have dubs, take responsibilty for your actions.

I like making lists.

Things the right are petrified of

1) Rock n roll
2) tv and movies
3) women's rights
4) unions
5) minorities. Especially blacks
6) science
7) sex
8) learning about sex
9) health care

THe list is endless.

The WR is a good snapshot of Trump's base: overwhelmingly white and male. Understandably it leans a bit to the right. I think it evens out a little more when you look at the regular posters though.

I suggest increased education and starting to educate kids at an earlier age and already people are paranoid and ragging against better education standards.

I suggest properly addressing sex education in the class rooms and combating inappropriate viewing of pornography (instead of ignoring it). And people get paranoid and claim "communism".

The list goes on and on. With better public transportation, to cleaner energy, from free sports for youth and physical development to cleaner healthier diets. The "anti-government" paranoia opposes any and everything which betters us.

It seems this forum is dominated by distrust of all mainstream sources, logic, extreme paranoia and a strong dislike for higher education or education in general.
I've been posting in this sub-forum for eight years now and I can tell you it's always been pretty even. It's just the righties here are more outspoken than the others... then there are a select few that troll and say nonsensical bullshit and it seem to steer the conversation in wrong direction. There are some decent right wing posters here.. like Pan, but don't get enough credit.

I'm Atheist Libertarian-Republican. I'm almost a circle.

Yeah democrats hate working.

Everyone I know who is a democrat works. Nice try though.

And when does the right love the consitution outside of the 2nd amendment. They don't.

Also welfare is mostly used on people who work a full hour work week so thst shits on the first two things on your list.

Do you have any substance to post or are you just posting things that have been debunked 500 million times over.

As someone who has been here for a while, I'll tell you, no.

As a matter of fact, when I started on these boards I was left leaning. I even voted Obama. Life experience and distrust in the system with the rise of information via the Internet drove me to the state of paranoia/right wing "lunacy" I exhibit today.

The correct response to an insane situation is sometimes to go insane. I forget who said that, but it rings true to my experience.

I mean, we live in society where people say you're a bigot if you imply sucking off a mtf tranny is gay.

It's an insane situation.

Bullshit. I am willing to bet I know more about rock and roll, science and sex than you.

The only problem I have with the 'Trump is Hitler' stuff is that I don't think Trump is on Hitler's level. Nor is he such a blind racist and hateful person... but he could never do what Hitler did (in a positive way), or be so intentionally negative and destructive. He's self-destructing in an election he could easily win against one of the weaker candidates that I can remember (who has more baggage than Hillary? lol).

The only comparison between Trump and Hitler is that they appeal to the common-man. I don't think they're that similar.
