Has the value of holding a UFC belt gone down?

Belt moving around doesn't cheapen it. Just means competition is closer and that is a good thing.
 
A belt being harder to hold onto isn't bad IMO. The chaotic divisions are pretty interesting.
 
Eddie Alvarez get's free shit everyday, starting from when he won the belt. So don't think so.

Also, long lasting champions really has never been that common. When people bring up dominating long lasting champs, they only bring up GSP and Silva
