Cant help but feel this way with our current lineup of champs being some of the weakest of all time, along with the belt changing hands every title defense. A great champ is one that shows absolute dominance. And right now that's Mighty Mouse and maybe Cruz. That's it. Makes you appreciate guys like Anderson and GSP much more.

Eddie Alvarez get's free shit everyday, starting from when he won the belt. So don't think so.

Also, long lasting champions really has never been that common. When people bring up dominating long lasting champs, they only bring up GSP and Silva

It honestly feels that way. Every division has like 6 or 7 former champs it seems

Yeah Jones too but he held the belt for half amount of the time Silva held it.

It does seem that way. I think overall it doesnt, because youre champ, but hmm...you know..i guess it does seem that way lol.
If everyone has had the belt, whats so special about it then?

    I can see your point.

More fighters. Larger pool. Seems about right for harder to hold a belt.

With the way things have been, i seriously appreciate 2-3 title defenses from any champ. No one can hang on to a belt it seems.

Mmmm if you're talking about that 'championship' buzz that excites me over nice matchups then ya, it's gone down, especially with robbie no longer as a champ.

mouse- we all can agree that we are mildly excited about his fights.

jj-shes ok. not nice to look at so i don't care much.

nunes-shes harder to look at so no. fuck no.

cruz-ive always thought he was boring.the most boring out of the group.

conor-he seems to be the epitome of what we're talking about. hes in a matchup that's more entertaining than aldo....well. i dont know. i say conor gets a pass. hes overrated, true, but not boring.

    eddie-hes exciting.

tyron-only fights i remember him are last night's, when nate raped him, oh, and when condit hurt his knee. not not excited about him yet.

    bisping-mediocre so no.

dc-nowadays, yes there are better matchups to watch

stipe- other match ups are more exciting

UFC might need more divisions (less weight difference between classes) soon

UFC belt was never as prestigious as many claim but still obviously the best guy in division most likely holds it, UFC did a good job delegitimizing it with their matchmaking which started from around Bork/Handy

HW title has never been defended more than twice. DC is a great LHW champion whos only loss is to someone many considered the GOAT and may have been cheating.. I dont think Luke took bisping serious but that division is stacked so could see that title getting passed around. Woodly just became champion so no way to tell how good of a champion he will be, lightweight belt has never been defended more than 3 times and no telling how long the new champion will hold it. MM is dominate and JJ are dominate and dont think anyone in her division has the skillset to beat her. Womens BW will probably get passed around as it has since ronda left.. I dont think the UFC has weak champs.. one may have got the belt because his opponent took him lightly but hes in a stacked division were i think the belt was going to get passed around anyways
