Food & Drink has the protein craze gone overboard?

Pull yourself together and put on some lipstick. Stop worrying what people inject into their asses

I was just looking out for you. But you are right, your ass is your business

I've always been somewhat kf a carnivore...the rest is just garnish imo

Not like it was in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

Thanks Mr Bro Science.

Too much what type of protein?
What is too much?
It's bloody difficult to get "enough" protein for optimum athletic performance.
Getting too much is hard work.

A powder isn't inherantly crap.
Keep throwing your money away, I could care less what you do. The FDA doesn't regulate any of this stuff but take it all for all I care. I AM an athlete and have been my whole life. You eat right, you don't need it. This whole difficult to get enough protein for optimum performance is the bro science started by bros that sell this shit.

Obviously this is just on top of your injectable Testosterone base right?

<JagsKiddingMe>you can't be "orals only"
Yeah. But I'm almost 50 so.... it's strictly performance based. ;)

Protein is good for health... but 1.6g / lb is all you need. More than that is for enhaced lifters.

Theres protein in everything. Why are people so obsessed with it?

Protein-rich foods include lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy products, nuts, seeds, and legumes like beans and lentils

Name a dinner that doesnt have protein!!!

It's pretty simple, some people think the protein label makes something healthy. So they sell protein whatever filled with sugar and other shit but people use protein as an excuse to eat it and not acknowledge what it is.

For anyone serious about their health or fitness, they're going to be looking at a lot more on the package than the protein number.
Or eat natural food without ingredients. Milk. Borocoli. Chicken breast. Almonds. Single ingredient. Plant or piece of animal. Anything with a ingredient list and you actually gotta know what you are doing.

With milk there are big diffrences though. Not the fat content. Though full fat is natural. Skim is more processed.
But good milk is in the fridge and fresh and has a shorter shell life. Fresh milk. Especially in plastic or glass bottles. Carton milk doesn't taste that good.

I thought that was obvious.

I've done keto a few years back along with exercise, dropped a lot of weight. I then added some carbs, put on a few kilos but it was kind of "good weight", muscle as well as fat.

But yeah I'm conscious of getting protein that's for sure, particularly after training. Youtube "exercise4cheatmeals", heaps of great recipes on there.

I dunno... I did just finish a double choc protein cookie though.

/shrugs
Hell yeah! I buy the protein donuts at the gym 😂 Now to be fair they aren’t just junk, the ingredients are clean and the sugar isn’t off the ropes.

I tried protein coffee and that was fucking disgusting.
