She looked great. Bit of a slow start but once she found her opening to do work she really laid it in and made it count. Clutch performance

Yeah I feel in retrospect she was rushed to stardom way too fast, but I'll be dammed if she isn't earning her keep among the best in the division. She isn't particularly great in any area, but she's tough, gritty, and her stamina is a problem for her opponents. She has a phenomenal pace. I don't quite view her among the elite yet, but she is still young and showing steady improvements every fight. Maybe just work on that damn head and arm defense that you see too often in women's MMA.

Ribas is a 115er who blocks punches with her face, this was a gimme fight for Maycee. For whatever reason the ufc sees money in Maycee and are building her in a very smooth fashion.
 
Terrible person. Worse fighter. Hell no.

btw I didn’t watch any of the fights tonight

Réf stoppage was kinda shiesty. Waited too long. Ribas wasn't really defending herself. One of the best finishes I've seen wmma. It was intense. Barber has improved big time. Always had good GNP though.

If anything it further solidified my point that the division is the worst in UFC history. The craziest thing is she's so bad that she headkicked Ribas twice, following up with 100 punches and Ribas still wasn't even rocked <45>
 
My Maycee dislike started when she weighed in at 123.4 for a strawweight fight with Mallory Martin in LFA. As the years go by she's moved down the list of the disliked but she's still on lt.

This is a shot take. If she keeps on winning that means she is good. She made a read, times the kick on Ribas head dip, (in sequence similar to Leon/Usman) that was HIGH level move by Barber.

The reason it took additional flurry was because she is 125 lb women she doesn’t have the power for one shot KOs but that doesn’t mean her skills are deficient

Barring this fight which she had a great finish in, she still has a few prior fights she got some gift nods in that should have gone the other way. That kind of rubs me the wrong way about fighters.
She’s still in the prospect range and not top challenger material.
 
I stopped at a buff to catch the fights with my bro, seeing as it was a daytime card.

Everyone loved this fight except for a couple lesbians, who were cool, but thought it was too violent and brutal (both women got bloody).

The women delivered in the co main, and deserve credit for putting on a show.

Meanwhile the Magny fight had people wondering why anyone likes mma.
 
Ribas is not a real 125er but it was a good fight and she showed improvement
I will not expect her to beat the big 125ers like Talia Santos or Fioro or the talented ones like Blanchfield or Shevchenko
 
if anyone disliked that fight, i think you may just have an underlying issue with women and I feel a lil sorry for you. I will always show respect and root for the girls who go out to fucking fight. put some fucking real danger in these matches and it feels just like any other mma fight. i only struggle with wmma when neither girl is even attempting to do real damage or finish the fight (and it happens a lot)
