Has it ever crossed your mind that you might be siding with bad people online?

I don't side with people, I side with ideas. I don't give a crap who is holding the same idea, it's irrelevant.
Have you ever pressed the like button on a comment from someone you dislike a great deal?

I like those that I like. Isnt it funny how that goes?

I don't know that I dislike anyone on a karate forum a great deal but I've liked comments from people I usually disagree with or generally think are morons.

Sherdog is literally the only forum I participate in.

I used to go to a lot of computer forums (HardOCP, Anandtech etc.), but Youtube killed those sites.

So unless some of you are psychos and :eek::eek::eek:s, I believe myself to be in decent company.

I got banned from every other forum for simply being myself, including the physics forum. A true internet bad boy.

No gaming forums but I havent been on there in years

Maybe I'm weird... I just don't give a fuck about who random names are on a karate forum. It's not like I'll ever meet people on here in real life anyway, so what does it matter?

Maybe I'm actually an African American, midget, lesbian from Alabama, in real life; Would that materially change anything?

Well if a Sherdog user is secretly Hitler in Argentina they might like you less. I know he’s too old but they moved his brain to a new person duhhh

Can someone explain to me why people write to users in their open page rather than private messages? Why would anyone want it public?

And why do users save it? Is it trophies to them?

Maybe this is a boring topic but lets try it.

You dont know who people are online but we pretend and assume they are regular folks. Does it ever cross your mind that they might not be? That you might be liking a serial killer,:eek::eek::eek:philes post?

I have been very conservative for this very reason. Loosened up a bit over time.

Does it bother you guys that you dont know who you side with and sometimes even have online friendships with?

I dont have online friends for this reason. I find it odd that people can become super tight with someone without truly knowing them in person. Whats crazier is when people fall in love online without actually, physically meeting one another.

It's Immoral in the sense that you didnt care if they were bad people or not.

To me.

somtime converting bad from good or dropping hints
that guide those on their path is also fulfilling purpose.

The same problem exists in real life obviously but you have even less info about people here.

Am I strange for thinking about these things instead of just going with the flow?
This is false.

When you meet someone IRL can you peruse years-worth of their written comments on a variety of topics before choosing whether or not to engage with them in conversation?
I never side with you anyway and you supress my clothing.
What do you mean by "suppress my clothing"?
Yes, as a matter of fact. i can. im intuitive. Nicest guy at work who shook my hand gave me a firing response in my brain. He did indeed have a criminal record. It doesnt matter what they tell me or do, I know it.

Even if we suppose its just drugs or some side action, I think hes done more.
That's a highly superstitious delusion that can't be good for you or anyone around you.
It's always the ones you don't expect..
This directly contradicts your previous delusional sentiment.

May have some thoughts on this post?

Haha. Someone wrote nice posts on the forum boards. This is definite proof of his goodness!

I did not contradict myself. The nicest guy at work was the one with the criminal record. I know about deep psychological factors that go into sociopaths pretending to be good guys. Most people dont know this....

One of the things that gives them away is in pretending to be "nice", they overdo it. They dont know how to properly calibrate niceness because it's not a genuine fabric of their personality. It's forced.

They might also stare at you a little too long (sign that they are processing you, which a good guy does not do).

Ok you could be right, guy who says he's right on the internet ;)

I don’t side with people. Inside with their positions. That’s the problem today. Everyone wants a daddy to tell them what to think and how to be.
So they pick someone pile Jordan Peterson or whatever, and just follow whatever he says uncritically while calling those who actually think for themselves sheep.

It has, but that also applies to real life.
