Has Dana made a statement about Anderson Silva getting whooped by a Youtube gamer?

Anderson would have been a champion boxer had he went into the sweet science and not mma. He was really that good and had a iron chin until it wasn't.
He still wouldn't have won a belt but during his championship reign 2006-2013, the 175 division was kinda weak.

You deduced this because he beat JCC Jr. in an 8 rounder? He's a middleweight that stopped training years ago. Had Anderson gone the boxing route he probably would've squeezed down to light heavyweight (175) until he couldn't make it. Then as he aged he would've had to move up to cruiserweight (200). I don't doubt that he could've been a legit contender in his prime and maybe even eventually won an alphabet title but all we can do is speculate. When a handful of guys in a given division are able to call themselves 'champion' the term itself becomes severely watered down. In reality there is only 1 champion per division. That's how it works. The rest is just the boxing business attempting to convince casuals that there can be several.

Silva made the exact same errors in his original boxing debut and the same errors that got him KOd by Weidman. He relies too much on believing he can outmove his opponents. All anyone needs is rto pounce on the openings he gives you.

That said Silva is best know for his knee work and kicks. He's not the best lateral fighter. He actually thought boxers would let him hang on his punches.

Dana still has yet to wake up from the incident.

Anderson started MMA @ 167lbs in Shooto

I'm aware. I watched his whole MMA career. He might've been able to make super middleweight (168) early on but he looked unhealthy at 167 pounds in MMA. That's why I figure he'd have made his boxing debut at 175 instead. Anderson walks around heavy and is a big guy. He's fought at light heavyweight (205) before in MMA and didn't look out of place. Even in the Griffin fight and Griffin is an enormous light heavyweight.

I still think Vitor wouldve made it further than Anderson
A sloppy swarmer like Vitor would get eaten alive by any competent counterpuncher in the squared circle—geriatrics aside. His explosive aggression wouldn't be enough to make him a force in boxing the way it did in MMA. A prime Anderson was quite a bit more skilled and crafty in the hands department than Vitor ever was.

that high? I'm pretty surprised.
Only because Jake beat Anderson who recently beat Chavez Jr. He's still not even Top 200 internationally at cruiserweight. It's also worth noting that BoxRec's algorithm is flakey. Unfortunately we have to use it to access independent divisional rankings beyond the Top 10.

He's a Twitch gamer/streamer who got bored and decided to try boxing at 25 years old after living his entire life playing video games
Paul was a wrestler too so I don't think he spent his life playing video games.
