Has anybody ever pulled off a "secret move"?

That's a man fighting for his life.

Jiri's Double spinning elbow (Elbow-copter)
Sharbullet - double spinning back fist (Bullet Tornado)
Mighty mouse suplex armbar (The mouse trap)
Anthony Pettis (Show time Kick)
that one guy who humped another guys head with his crotch (Inverted prison rape)

Pettis head kick of Henderson was actually practiced by Pettis and is by far the best one.

Anderson Silva did that many years earlier, and the strike itself is even several hundreds years old.

When Silva did them I actually made a thread on here about how Silva perhaps took inspiration from The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi (written around 1645).

Excerpt from The Book of Five Rings:
Do you often read books from the 17th century? Is this even available in libraries or do you go on excursions to China to get this?

Also does it say how much training you need to shoulder blow someone to death? Must admit, that would be a good move. Dana would give a big fight bonus for that.

lol no can't say that I do but this is a super famous book along the lines of The Art of War by Sun Tzu

Fabricio Werdum actually had an interview with Ariel Helwani days before the Fedor fight. He claimed he had a "surprise". He would not say what it was.

Turns out he baited a low fight IQ Fedor right into his guard after pretending to get hurt, and that was that.

I remember when Brock Lesnar hit his F5 on Cain Velasquez his special move.

For a guy who was mostly known for BJJ at the time, this was a pretty creative and surprising move from Jean Claude Werdum.

Jabs him with the dread John Cena blade

"Is there any example of a fighter doing a "secret move" after announcing it?"

Seems everyone but one person missed this part of the post.

It seems multiple times per year people claim they will do secret shit, but I can't even recall someone attempting something insane after announcing it, much less landing.

Remember Jones using some elbow lock on Glover in the clinch which I haven't seen before.
