I can't remember if a champ has ever chosen to defend his belt on a 2 belt notice? I don't mean switching opponents, but taking a fresh fight off the bat on short notice?

Bader was supposed to fight Mo in a LHW title eliminator at Bellator. Mo gets injured and the champ himself Phil Davis steps in to face Bader and put his title on the line. That didn't work out for him unfortunately

Not sure. Hell, some champs don’t defend ever...

TJ vs Soto I believe
Soto was a replacement because Barao couldn't get out of the tub. Props to TJ for taking the last min change, but not the situation I am talking about. He was still preparing for a fight.

I can't recall any time, and there's good reason for not doing it. lol Cody essentially called TJ a pussy for not defending on two weeks notice recently

Hughes defended against BJ and GSP within 60 days. I doubt any champ would do that again.

Were either of those on short notice?
It's admirable regardless. Fighters before used to have that anywhere anytime mentality. It's too much of business now, but understandably so.

Has a champion ever not defended a belt while being a champion since 2014 ?

I don't get the relevance of your question in this thread? Can you explain how the two are related?
Of course you dont lol. Are you gonna answer my question ?
