Hardest punch in the World? For real?

I wish we could go back in time to let past boxers and fighters punch this machine in their prime to create a power level list of sorts for punching power.

Ngannou- 129,000

Past Boxers/Fighters
Prime Carwin- 130,000
Prime Tyson- 145,000
Prime Foreman- 152,500
Prime Ernie Shavers- 160,000

Current
Wilder- 155,000
Rumble- 120,000

I'm a big Dragon Ball Z fan so this stuff is interesting to me :p
When Erick Silva reaches his prime he'll be hitting 200,000's regularly.

Why is it so hard to believe? Punching power is largely innate, while you can improve it you can only improve it to a certain point, Francis has clearly trained punching for many years and has maxed out his power stat, it's entirely possible the Ford Escort has the hardest punch in the world.

while tyson was busy ko'ing bums and cans, foreman was busy ko'ing frazier and norton....AS hard as tyson hit I don't think he hit nearly as hard as foreman...

Larry Holmes, Tony Tucker, Pinklon Thomas, Michael Spinks, and Andrew Golota are all better wins than Ken Norton, IMO. With Ken Norton, he had the kind of style that gave slick fighters like Ali and Holmes trouble, but he could not hold up to aggressive power punchers early, as evidenced by what Foreman, Shavers, and Cooney did to him. Mike Tyson fought cans AND the best HW's of his era, generally winning those fights emphatically. He wasn't just a can crusher, that's a myth that's been perpetuated about the guy for far too long. His power was very close to the greatest power punchers of all-time, Foreman included.

Also, I'm sure it was just a turn of phrase, but you do realize that while Foreman was busy KO'ing Frazier, Mike was actually busy being about 8 years old, right?

From what I understand its not the most powerful single punch ever, its the most powerful type of punch. So what ever style of punch he threw he set the record for it.

Hardest punch ever tested at the UFC PI.

In any case, I don't know what some people are talking about with Tyson, he wouldn't even be a contender for hardest single punch ever.

In the video they say Francis holds the World Record. That means he hits harder than WC boxers, which is hard to believe. Someone like Wilder who focuses solely on his arms should definitely out do him, unless Francis is a genetic freak.

Didn't you watch Wilder last fight? He swung and missed the machine 74 times

World Record belongs to a Sherdogger, I mean it's obvious.
Damn straight.

Sports science told me Cain is hardest puncher ever. Then I saw him fight kongo and I stopped watching sports science

I go with foreman on that....he was able to ko ron lyle, while ron lyle beat shavers....I know it's not scientific...but if you've ever watched foreman fight fraizer, in that first fight...the down right frightening, scary power foreman had, was unlike anything I've ever seen...he ko'd a guy that was never even hurt before, and one of the best heavyweights of all time...yet totally destroyed him in 2 rounds. frazier was the undefeated, heavyweight champion of the world, after just beating ali...anyone who ever doubts who the hardest puncher who ever lived is, watch this fight and then tell me:

Yep foreman from me too. He barely wound up on punches either. He just put his fists on you and you went down. Shows how tough frazier was. Got back up a few times from a prime monster foreman knock down. Julien jackson had freakish power too.

I think it's not in MMA. It's the HW boxing world.

Earnie Shavers. Sonny Liston. Mike Tyson....
Prolly Foreman is up there.

It is the mantis shrimp. /endthread.

The record is only for people they actually tested...it's a very very misleading statement...they never tested any heavyweight boxers...zero...if you honestly think he hits harder than anthony joshua or wilder, you're highly delusional...and need therapy...

dude, spong is a freaken kickboxer, whos not even known for his power....there are heavyweights that hit much much harder than either of those guys...and spong was supposed to fight in the ufc a while back...he was signed...but then got in some huge accident...

Gentlemen for your information Tyrone Spong is a full-time professional heavyweight boxer and has been for a few years. He's 12-0 with 12 knockouts, hes the WBC Latin heavyweight champ and ranked #7 in the world by WBO (dubious).

Granted he hasn't faced any world class opponents in boxing, but he has a massive step up this Friday facing 31-1 Andy Ruiz (only loss a close decision to Joseph Please).

Just FYI
:p

Detonay Wilder hits harder than anyone in MMA....

Although most MMA fighters probably box better than Wilder. LOL

Hendricks did have the touch of death for a while there... And a varied striking /boxing skill set...

Then he started looking like the guy in this old neighborhood that use to by us beer and tell us what a badass he use to be... went all downhill from there.

Ngannou weighs 40 lbs more than wilder. They both have similar technique...that is...poor technique, but does make for a hard punch
