At mens's Lightweight I'd say Gaethje and possibly Fiziev might be up there, but it's early days.

My heart wants to say Carwin but objectively Frank is the right answer. Carwin was a stronger guy and during the "let the bodies hit the floor" run he was on another level, but if you could time warp 2010 Carwin to fight 2020 Frank and they both started throwing bombs I feel like Shane would get slept.

The difference to me is that Shane got to show off his KO power because guys WOULD trade with him - no one is ever willing to actually trade with Frank and he still usually finds a way to detonate a bomb.

Carwin crumpled the first 13 people he faced in the first round. Only JDS was able to withstand his power, and Carwin was noticeably timid in that fight compared to all of his previous fights, trying to preserve energy.

There is no other HW in history who has proven to be a consistently harder hitter, even Ngannou. Carwin literally crumpled 13 guys, in a row, in round 1. Even in his few submission victories.

Frank hits harder than carwin

Carwin had like 6 UFC fights. Idk how anyone can say he's the best at anything.

Listen - I am a huge Carwin stan and it pains me to rank him #2, but I have to be objective. Carwin was able to gloriously crush cans but he wasnt able to rack up the sheer volume of devastation that Frank has.

Even as recently as a few months ago I'd still go Carwin #1 but the utter erasure of Bigi Boy leaves me no choice.

Melvin Manhoef was the 1st guy to KO iron headed Mark Hunt and he probably weighed about 50-70 lbs. less! I'm putting out a shout for prime Chuck Liddell. He could and did finish fights like no other back in those days when he knew he had you hurt. Many here are younger and may have only seen glass jaw Chuck, but in his prime he could put you out with one punch. The Iceman, first fighter I ever really got excited about.
