Movies Happy Gilmore 2

2025 is turning out to be perhaps the shittiest year in cinema post covid and thats nuts, cause its been an absolute shitfest since covid. This movie is no exeption. I dunno how i even made it through the whole thing.

Watched it last night. It's a good summertime hijinks type of flick, that doesn't take itself too seriously. Its over the top(cameos up the arse, constant flashbacks to the original), but I think its intended to be. Mostly a tipping of the cap, to fans of the original. A dozen or so LOL moments. 7/10

Watched it this weekend. Didn't really like it. Maybe I'm just old now and don't have the same sense of humor.

Just wishbonecof those cameos wasnt Caddyshack 2 .

Film was pretty good till it went CS2 last 30/45 min..should of kept it as Golf not what that was. Shooter was the highlight just like the first . Scheffler had a good recurring cameo and had fun with the getting arrested bits Rory not so great.

Replace the Maxi shit and that stupid body twisting with golf n it would of landed better

Yeah, just straight golf would've been better. And not having Shooter in a psych ward for 30 years, but maybe just became a destitute addict, and had a redemption arch similar to Gilmore's, might have worked better. In the end, it was still good for some laughs, which was the point.

I’d put it in the “better than I would have expected” category. The things that worked and were appealing overshadowed most of the missteps for me. I thought it was entertaining. I really liked Bad Bunny in his role lol. Pleasantly surprised he had a much larger role than Sandler’s pal Covert did as the original impromptu caddy.

Great seeing Christopher McDonald back. As some are saying, the Shooter being institutionalized for 30 years plot line was pretty silly but when McDonald was onscreen, he delivered every time.

Sandler himself did a quite good job stepping back into the role. Bowen, as is often the case, was great, though I would have liked for her to have been in more of it.

that's the thing though, why even make him out to be some deranged maniac then have him immediately become a good guy? It's a bit of a stretch, he could have just been washed up or something. He has this whole Jokeresque return of the villain build up for nothing.

I really liked it. It's supposed to be so stupid that it's funny. It was extremely predictable, other than who will show up next. Needed more cuss words.

And the sixth sense kid gets casted and never says "i see dead people"?
