He really made me laugh recently talking about his daughters watching Taylor in the back seat. The subtitles were something like Teylor giggles and the subtitles made his daughters giggle in the same way...really funnt subtitle wise hearing them tee hee heeing in the back.

By the way, will not be watching the sequel... obviously.

I'm sick of the 'Legacy Sequel' concept for movies from 20+ to 40+ years ago that never had a sequel... until now.
The time for a sequel is far far past and they're just relying on nostalgia.

Dumb and Dumberer 2
Beetlejuice 2
Matrix Resurrections
BladeRunner 2045
Top Gun Maverick

That said, Top Gun Maverick was worth watching in IMAX, but no one will claim the story was amazing.

This Happy Gilmore 2 is just going to be the same old cliché shit.

What's next... Waterboy2?

Bladerunner 2049 is legit and could compete with the original, imo.

I enjoyed it as a visual spectacle.

But it's still a '20+ years too late' sequel.
They need to have an adult woman with very specific job with a good anime like plot twist. The huge gap makes it more realistic, imo.

sandler is more annoying that funny.

You see one of his movies you've seen them all.

Y'all a bunch of haters. I'm going to get drunk, watch this, and re-live the good times.

Definitely not. Loved the first one, but this one is just a massive money grab and jamming as many current celebrities into a movie as possible. It's going to be trash.

Probably. Remember the chances of a sequel being equally as good is almost never. Is this on netflix? Probably gonna be mediocre trash. Think Coming to America 2.

Netflix is just throwing money out there hoping stuff sticks

Wow this AI is getting pretty good

Umm... the original had no relation to anime, although it inspired alot of anime like Ghost In The Shell. Including anime themes into the sequel would be... very 2020s Hollywood.

I know too much about modern Hollywood to ignore that they'd rather make prequels, remakes, and legacy sequels to movies made decades ago that never had any intention of a sequel to ever be made than to accept 'the huge gap makes it more realistic.'

I'm saying that the twist feels like an anime storyline. Tbf, they did made some animes to explain the gaps between the 2 movies.

I've matured since the 90s, and a part of maturing is admitting is the Adam Sandler was never really funny.

Don't get me wrong he had his moments, but he seems to think he's really funny by being loud and obnoxious.... like at the Grammy's this year.

I felt embarrassed for him and his fans.

When actually his songs were his funniest bits.

I completely stopped watching his movies after I saw the worst Holiday movie ever, 8 Crazy Nights -

Combined the movies made me laugh a grand total of once.

His days of making quality comedy movies like Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, Big Daddy, and Anger Management were long over.

Man I liked 8 crazy nights. When I’m high, that shit still makes me laugh
