International Hamas launches surprise attack on Israel; Israel has declared a state of war. Vol. VII

It's funny how you edit my posts and toss out one-liners in response to those posts and ignore this one entirely,

Let's see your evidence to the contrary.
It's funny how I decide to reply to the points I find relevant

You've concocted some mad conspiracy about the president of the US (incoming) and leaders or Russia and Israel based on absolutely nothing but the voices in your head.

I am under no obligation to reply to specific posts and points you demand

You said something mental. I laughed at your mentalness.

Now I demand that you reply to my post in the latest Conor McGregor thread because reasons.

I think it's pretty obvious. There is massive popular support in Israel for a ceasefire but Netanyahu has had just as much incentive to prolong the conflict up to now. That seems to be changing, and it seems clear to me Putin will take a ceasefire with Ukraine if Russia gets to keep the Ukrainian territory they currently occupy. I see a kind of alliance has formed among the three, Bibi, Putin, and Trump. They appear to be committed to doing what they can to help keep each other out of prison, and both Putin and Bibi can easily manipulate Trump by helping to make him look good.

It's interesting how such crooks became their nations' leaders by embracing the far right. Ditto Modi and Erdogan (IMHO).

As long as Bibi is in charge, he remains out of jail. Because once he's out, they're bringing charges against him.

Concession accepted.

The charges were already brought.

Isn't it funny how, just like Trump, he only avoids punishment by holding office?

You throw a bias accusation around.

Hamas go back on the deal at the 11th hour and your first thought is about an Israeli. You might want to examine your own biases too.
What bias accusation?

What the hell are you talking about.

Worth noting that support for a "ceasefire" is in reality support for a "hostage deal" and not stopping the war against Hamas.

After Israel gets back as many hostages as it is able via diplomatic means, there is a very high probability that the war resumes - and with Trump's support.

Worth noting people expected scorched earth the moment trump was elected though..... iirc he was going to give bibi free reign and be far worse than biden immediately. Also ww3 and mass conflict on his first run at pres....

A Lot of fear

Israel’s cabinet approves ceasefire and hostage deal

What we're covering

• Israel’s cabinet has approved the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and hostage release deal, according to the prime minister’s office, following hours of deliberation. The smaller security cabinet approved the deal earlier on Friday.

• The deal, which will take effect Sunday, would see a pause in fighting in Gaza and lead to the phased release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners.

Israeli bombardments have killed over 100 people in Gaza since the announcement of the deal, marking the highest daily death toll in over a week.

Hamas would start releasing hostages on the first day, initially returning three to Israel, according to the draft viewed by CBS News. On the seventh day, Hamas would release four hostages. Thereafter, Hamas would release three hostages taken from Israel every seven days, starting with the living and then moving on to return the bodies of those who have died.

It would release 33 women and children hostages in total during the first phase, as well as hostages over 50 years old, the draft viewed by CBS News said.

It will be quite hard for the war to go back to how it was.... unless they willing to kill far more internationals....

• International aid agencies are vowing to scale up their work in Gaza under the deal. The UN agency for Palestinian refugees called for “rapid, unhindered and uninterrupted humanitarian access” to the strip to relieve the suffering caused by war.

Friday also saw a meeting held in Cairo to discuss mechanisms for implementing the deal, a senior Egyptian official told the BBC.

All necessary arrangements were agreed, including the formation of a joint operations room to ensure compliance, that would include Egyptian, Qatari, US, Palestinian and Israeli representatives, the official said.

Egyptian state-run Al-Qahera News TV also cited a source as saying that they had agreed on facilitating the entry of 600 aid lorries per day during the ceasefire.

That would require a more than 14-fold increase from January's UN-reported daily average of 43 lorries. But Rik Peeperkorn, the World Health Organization's Gaza representative, said "the possibility is very much there" if the Rafah crossing with Egypt and other crossings opened.

The WHO also plans to deliver a number of prefabricated hospitals to support the devastated healthcare sector. Half of Gaza's 36 hospitals are not functional, while the others are only partially functional.

pretty sure international press will be in gaza. It wont just be killing palestian journos

The fighting stopping on Sunday should also have seen the immediate release of all hostages, not a "phased" release.

That's disgusting bs tbh and another stain for Hamas.

The first "excuse" likely being an act of aggression by Palestinians such as launching rockets into Israel

Such an act of war will be a valid reason and not an excuse
I would be willing to bet on that.

Although the odds would be so in favour that I have to bet a grand to make a nickel.

Who said that?

Not sure why Israel still bothers when Hamas are gonna attack again in 1-2 years after theyve regrouped. They will always find more Canon fodder.
1-2 year break is better than nothing, isreal can regroup as well, two can play that game, and once it stops, its harder to build momentum, israel can build a wall, internal prep work isnt going to stop. Raves near the border might have armed guards, a lot can happen.

Hama is getting no incentive to actually give up the hostages. Netanyahu doesn't give a shit about them.

And it would be politically advantageous to him if they don't get released. Netanyahu is a scumbag.

The thousands of terrorists Israel is releasing isn’t any incentive for the terrorist group hamas? Just bibi bad…….

It's already a given Hamas is bad. Hamas doesn't give a shit about them or Palestinian civilians dying.

Doesn't change the fact that Netanyahu is a scumbag. But here you are faithfully (again) on your white horse coming to Netanyahu's rescue.

And Israel is not going to stop attacking if they give up the hostages. So what reason do they have to release hostages? There is none.
