"A 23-year-old German-Israeli woman who was kidnapped from the Nova music festival by Hamas militants on October 7 has been found dead, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said.

“We are devastated to share that the body of 23 year old German-Israeli Shani (Louk) was found and identified,” the ministry posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday.

Louk was attending the festival in southern Israel on October 7 when Hamas breached the border between Gaza and Israel.

Louk was kidnapped at the festival and “tortured and paraded around Gaza by Hamas terrorists,” the foreign ministry statement said, adding that she “experienced unfathomable horrors.”

“May her memory be a blessing,” the statement said.

Militants blocked off the road to the festival from the north and the south during their October 7 attack, before swarming the sprawling site on foot, videos from the site showed.

They then encircled the crowds on three sides, gunning them down and forcing them to flee over fields to the east."

Palestinians have abandoned "river to the sea" since 1988 at least the PLO and the PA, Hamas of course wants "river to the sea" but people in Gaza at least back in 2006 actually wanted Hamas to negotiate with Israel according to the polls.
That’s not actually true in reality.

only if that's how you choose to see it. that's clearly not a factual statement though.
With Israel attacking indiscriminately, that seems to be their reasoning.

I mean if they returned the hostages and stopped firing rockets they probably wouldn't be on the receiving end of retaliation, yeah?
“retaliation” lmao i guess wanting to live in the house you own is grounds for being driven out by the hundreds of thousands and if you resist, they’ll have to “retaliate” btw they bombed your neighborhood 7 times in the last decade and all your neighbors are dead

Most people saw Hamas as the anti-corruption party and believe the whole "Death to Israel" was just a slogan and not true in reality.

There are no independent polls right now, since Hamas rules Gaza with an iron fist and the population is young and may have been deeply indoctrinated.

weird that i see plenty of references to river to the sea today.........

When I was at the Western Wall I took what will likely be my one and only chance to pray there to wish for peace in the middle east.

Now seems like a complete waste of a prayer. If there's a next time, I'm gonna just wish i get richer or something.

you're making up "indiscriminately" or just parroting what you've heard others make up.

and again, israel is warning civilians to leave, hamas instructing them to stay.

That sucks, I think her mom had some hopes against all hopes that she was somehow still alive. Poor thing was in the wrong place at the wrong time, that's for sure.

They weren't driven out of their homes by the hundreds of thousands. The majority chose to leave so the Arab League and Islamist militias from all over the world could do genocide against the Israelis and then they could move back in after the cleansing.

Sad news is that Israelis beat all their asses and sent them home instead, and now we and the Israelis have to deal with these sore losers ever since.

And despite that, Israeli still allowed thousands of them to return.

Most "river to the sea" guys are not actually Palestinians but Muslims living comfortably in Western countries or who have zero chance if ever of getting bombed by Israel.

Its pretty easy to be a warhawk when you are not going to be sent to such a war.

I mean, that poll is deeply ironic.
A peace agreement is in reality a euphemism for a return to Mandate borders.
If you would specify “a two state solution”, I am sure those numbers would be significantly skewed.
75% Support Hamas, whose stated purpose is the genocide of Jews and establishment of an Islamic Caliphate. Their “peaceful” solution comes after a lot of blood.

As per public belief in Hamas as being anti corruption, Hamas earned that reputation. Similar to the Muslim brotherhood in other regions, they began their foothold by providing social and charity services for those in need. That obviously changed after 2006.

Overall, 57% of Gazans express at least a somewhat positive opinion of Hamas—along with similar percentages of Palestinians in the West Bank (52%) and East Jerusalem (64%)—though Gazans who express this opinion of Hamas are fewer than the number of Gazans who have a positive view of Fatah (64%).

I think Hamas was saying she was still alive. Probably sending texts with her phone to her family. It was pretty evident by the way they had her in the back of that truck she had been murdered. Truly disgusting people.

Yup, as i said, things could have changed because Hamas has had a lot of time to radicalize the young population which comprise the majority of Gaza.

But back in the day the polls indicated that they wanted compromise with Israel.

I'm just interpreting things based on actions thus far. You don't get a halo for warning people that you intend to bomb them if they don't leave especially when you consider the denial of electricity, water, communication with the outside, and opposing foreign aid. No amount of pamphlets are going to fool me.

Well mandate borders at least are an improvement over "river to the sea".

Also the poll indicated that people voted for Hamas over what they perceived was corruption of Fatah, it seems like most third world people they see corruption and poor economic outlook as reasons to vote whoever they feel would outroot the "deep state" or the "establishment".

right there you fuck up. they literally poisoned palestinian wells. for the record, they also made it impossible for palestinians who fled to come back and go back to their homes.
