Halloween or Friday the 13th, which do you prefer?

I prefer Halloween, but I take exception to the score of the first few Fridays sucking. Harry Manfredini's score is legendary, and he did basically the entire Friday series (I think Manhattan, FvsJ, and the remake are the only ones he didn't score). It may not he as iconic as Carpenter's theme for Halloween, but it is a well known theme in its own right and pays much tribute to Pyscho.

I hated the score for the third and second movie. It was annoying and I just wanted the movie to end due to it. I am not talking about the third movies "halloween halloween" song but the theme song/score

To me the Friday series completely fucking blows Halloween away. I'll say the first Halloween is better than any of the Friday movies but the rest of the Halloween series is kinda lame compared to Friday. Halloween 2 is weak, 3 I liked but it doesn't even have Myers in it c'mon. Halloween 4 and 5 are lame Friday imitations with half the charm. I thought Halloween 6 was cool but still not as good as even the weaker Friday movies. The rest of the Halloween movies after 6 are pure garbage, while Friday all of the first 7 movies are excellent for what they are, part 8(Manhattan) is the weakest of the original Friday movies but I'd still take it over pretty much every Halloween after the first one. Same for Jason Goes To Hell, hell I even liked Freddy vs Jason it was at least a very good time in theaters. Halloween can't hold a candle to Friday The 13th sorry.

Also I feel like Jason is just all around more bad ass than Michael, better mask, way more dominant and more awesome in just about every way.

Yeah Manfredini's work in parts I-V is excellent (also like some of the stuff in Jason Goes to Hell, though not the parts with synthetic horns and the like). His score for the Friday the 13th game is also top notch. It combines the classic I-V sound with the best aspects of the Jason Goes to Hell tracks and advances that. I just wish part VI had a score similar to the previous five films, it's unique but makes the film feel too campy and takes the scare factor away to try to sound like a 50's monster movie.

Halloween is not only a good slasher movie, but a good movie in general. Whereas no F13 can say that. That being said, the rest of the Halloween series is hot garbage, but with F13 I can easily watch 4-8 over and over. The other movies are pretty meh. I think with Halloween it tried to take itself too seriously with the sequels, but with F13 they jist said fuck it and made each sequel more and more sleazy, especially 5.

Im gussing she is the one with the huge boobs (yes she is), its funny casuse my favorite boobs in a slasher actually are the from a Halloween film wich is not big on T/A, the nurse in Halloween 2 .

Imo F13 part 2 has the best roster of girls P4P. Even final girl looked great in a bikini (heck final girl even wearing a bikini in a slasher is huge).

IM also really fond of the FBI decoy in Jason goes to hell.

I think Halloween 4 and 5 are both better than most of the F13 series as well. It just seems to me they try a little harder with the Halloween characters and writing. There's more depth. With F13 I get the sense the characters are just there to fuck and get killed.

I agree with most of this. Jason just looks cooler, has better kills, and his own "deaths" were always more creative as well. His movies were almost always the more entertaining ones.

Friday part 5 to me is my favorite in the series, it's the most 80's of all of them plus has element of heavy cheese to it that really gives it a ton of charm, plus its the raunchiest and goriest of the series, the one girl was fucking fine:

I mean that bitch was fucking bad son. We get to see these girls get naked in Friday, too sweet. Halloween can't hold a fucking candle to Friday, neither can any other horror series imo. Anyone who thinks otherwise is millennial gay rod.
