How can diversity ever be a bad thing? Think of all of the benefits we received from various cultures.

Funny how I have never had problems with republicans and I am a minority.

I remember a sociology professor getting tons of support from Republicans. The news knew so little about Marvin Scott that a reporter asked who the candidate was and some white Republicans pointed him out. The reporter said "There is no story here and they left" They didn't even know he was black.

There are absolutely racist Republicans but they sure seem like a minority because I have never seen it directly.

What state are you from?

Republican party is a lot different in the South and Midwest.

Well to be fair its only a seven point disparity.

I have lived and worked in several states. It was in Indiana when the black sociologist got a lot of support from Republicans. I have never dealt with racism from Republicans no matter where I have been, even in Oklahoma where some would say it is bad.

Whether this is good or bad it isn't a surprise to me. Every few weeks we see a thread topic about *Whites soon to be minority* on here.

It’s about a balance OP. Diversity is good and all but foreigners take time to understand and learn what American values are and how to respect then.

Understanding the constitution takes time. I’m iranian and been here since I was a kid and it took time to get what America is about.

Some racist nativists are accepting of black Americans but are openly prejudiced towards other minorities, especially Hispanics.

Ann Coulter is an example.

Many chapters of the KKK took this turn too.

"world hunger doesn't exist because I just ate a sandwich"

"climate change isn't real because it snowed yesterday"

White people (real "white" people) are dying out and are a minority in this world. Replacing them in their countries is the opposite of diversity as they will continue to shrink. Trust me, as a Hawaiian I am an expert on this subject. We have seen the effects of diversity out here, and it has just served to decrease the Hawaiian people.

Who is talking about foreigners? The OP just refers to non-white people, that doesn't mean they are foreigners. There are Asians and Hispanics and blacks born in the US you know...

Amazing, I was best man at a wedding in Golden Colorado. The groom was a white republican and the bride was Hispanic. The brides family thought the groom was the best thing since sliced bread.

I also remember the Republican Governor of Indiana not liking the fact they legally had to let them have a rally. I was working for the Department of Administration at the time.

In North Idaho it was White Republicans that drove out White racist groups.

I totally accept there are racists in the Republican party but I don't believe for a second they are as many as people say.

I am going off of experience, I will admit that but you would think I would eventually have to deal with it from them and I have not nor have I seen it directly.

Your comments don't show otherwise. There are minorities in the party and working in republican institutions and minorities that socialize with Republicans.

Your thread title is bullshit clickbait.
“Do you believe diversity is good or bad” was not the question.

"Diversity" = Less white people.

Some think its good, some think it's a non-factor, some don't like it. America is certainly morphing into a different sort of country where no one racial group will be a true majority, but it remains to be seen what types of tangible effects this will carry. Non-whites seem to like the types of countries whites create, but don't seem too fond of the people themselves for some reason. I think whites deserve more credit, Europeans know how to make thriving, cutting-edge civilizations that the third world wants to be a part of.

This poll has nothing to do with thinking diversity is good or bad. It's about the changing majority demographic. Do you see minorities becoming the majority as more negative or positive.

A more interesting poll would be based on race and then race + political ideology.
