Half of Republicans believe racial diversity is bad for the country

When in history has it ever gone well when two races/cultures get thrown together?
 
Hey TS, please name these "benefits" that White Americans have received from other cultures

I'd gladly agree to never eat a kebab again (and I love kebabs) if it meant no more radical Islamic terrorist attacks.
 
I don't think it's diversity that's the problem. It's forced and unnatural diversity that actually harms race relation.
 
Why is diversity a goal? No one cries about the nordic countries as being opressively white or most african countries being oppressively black....
Stop trying to control everything, idiots

I remember a sociology professor getting tons of support from Republicans. The news knew so little about Marvin Scott that a reporter asked who the candidate was and some white Republicans pointed him out. The reporter said "There is no story here and they left" They didn't even know he was black.

There are absolutely racist Republicans but they sure seem like a minority because I have never seen it directly.

America is a nation of immigrants. All of our families are from other places, all over the world. Comparing us to a Nordic or African country seems to skip out on our entire history as a nation.
 
Weak sample size and I bet false republicans to make republicans to look bad, that appears to be the game the last few years.

I think it's important to be a little bit more aware and critical than that. We've had plenty of elected Republican officials make comments that reflect this belief. There have been several threads about it.

Your comments don't show otherwise. There are minorities in the party and working in republican institutions and minorities that socialize with Republicans.

You do know a lot of racists won't be racist to your face right? I worked at a warehouse in middle Indiana. Everyone was white, except one maintenance guy and one or two office guys. Everyone I worked with was Republican. About 30 guys. Every one of them would be cool with a minority to their face. But when there is nothing but white guys around the ugly comes out. Terrible things were said and they even undermined the black guy in maintenance to the point where he lost his job. Republicans also like having the "Token" minority I have noticed. Its why I see Diamond and Silk promoted so much as well as keep seeing pics on FB posted with black folks holding up the confederate flag. They want minorities on their side. But not as equals. I have heard the same person call obama a no good N word and turn around and praise Diamond and Silk. But you are right. Not all Republicans are racist. Definitely true. There are very fine people that are Republicans. Virtually none of them can be found here, lol. And i am sure there are racists on the Dem side. But the majority are on the Republican side. They just hide it from you.

I am not even sure what this means. What did I just say that makes you call me an "SJW" and what complaints are you even referring to?

I notice more and more that people on this site spit out posts laced with catch-phrases and slogans, but don't really have any substance.
 
Diversity itself isn't what's bad for the country, it's diversity quotas and making racial diversity the extent of quality control when it comes to things like immigration, school acceptance and workforce.

How does something happen organically in a nation state with immigration laws. Sounds like you're looking for open borders. :eek:

So you disagree with the majority of Republicans polled on that question?
 
I think everyone is reading this way too pessimistically. The question was whether the impact of America being majority minority was mostly positive or mostly negative, and 43% of *Republicans* said "mostly positive"! American values are really winning people over (probably helped along as part of the backlash against Trump).
