Had a waiter confront me outside over a tip

You didn't like what I said.. You're the one not enjoying the experience. Have the balls to admit that instead of passive-aggressively trying to turn it into my problem (ME not enjoying the thread, which I am thoroughly enjoying).
How about keep your advice about what I should do to yourself.

You seem mad.

Are you the rock in this scenario? Because the rock doesn't get punked by the help.
lmao, you are upset over this topic.

You must be one of the multiple servants on Sherdog, let me introduce you to your replacement.

Does anyone else find that when you pay cash and are waiting for change the serves try and take an obscene amount of time to break a bill, hoping that you'll just say keep the change?

I am disappointed in you my son.. You're never going to find a boyfriend that respects you like this. Getting pushed down by a waiter. That's like a homeless guy making fun of your clothes.

Yes.

Owen the to diner type place for breakfast, I only had mint tea and toast and the bill was around $3, I handed her a $20 and I swear she though I was tipping $17....
LMFAO, that's terrible right there.

As I stated we didn't make the system. We know you are aware of the system. If you choose to go out to eat and pay the markup at a restraunt but decline to take part of the tipping system, yeah your an asshole and yes you will pay the price. It's similar to going to a movie thatre, I actually encourage people to buy from the concession because I'm aware that's how the business stays in operation and can actually grow. People like you undoubtedly sneak shit in purely because you are cheap. It's obvious

lol, it's "optional", but you HAVE to pay.

WTF?!?! The tipping system is so retarded. Don't be mad at the customers, be mad at the system.

In England, it's considered vulgar to even talk about money at the dinner table, let alone squabbling over pennys given as a tip. Such bullshit.

Ok to all the servants out there are you more offended by a low tip or no tip at all? I know some people, like my nana, who do not tip at all. Which do you prefer?

You can tip however much you want. I would never though. I have no problem not tipping if someone fucking sucked but then I would make a point to not stay 4 hours. But that's my own philosophy. I still believe you can and should tip what you want.

The only people I have ever "tipped" in my life are barbers and taxi drivers, if the bill is £18 and I hand them a £20 note, I may say "keep the change" as a polite gesture.

In a "there's no point squabbling over money" kind of way.

Mandatory "tipping" and arguing over money is rude and bad taste IMO.

$5 on a $200 bill though?

I'd argue that if I were still say a bartender or something I'd rather deal with a $0 tip cause then my brain would be like "oh, what a fucking douchebag" and move on whereas if you like write a zero on the CC bill and circle in like a cunt (which I've seen at the bar I worked at for a $300 bill) or just a $5 it's like "this fucker is trying to rub it in my face"

Not entitled. I'd rather if someone doesn't want to tip, don't tip at all. Don't be like "I don't want to tip but don't want to be an asshole so I'm going to leave a 1% tip" type shit.

I ALSO think TS if they had said the waiter "hey dude, sorry but this is all I have" and handed them the $5 bill things may have gone differently.
