Had a waiter confront me outside over a tip

Lol'ing hard @ the notion of giving someone $5 (which you aren't legally beholden to) would illicit/justify (to you) this confrontation.

Imagine dropping a couple of bucks in a corner panhandler's lap only to have them chase you down the street because you didn't literally give them enough free money.

This is the world servants, I mean servers live in folks. Simply incredible minds at work.

i think you need to understand that what i said is not my own point of view. what i said, was what i would imagine the waiter would be thinking. i hope that is being understood. i've never been a waiter, but that's what i would be thinking, anyway.

I'm reporting him as well. No need for those kind of words in this world.

You deserve the ban for calling me that word, and I'm reporting you as we speak.

i apologize you had to hear that word directed at you. that ugly word

also far be it for me to interfere, but as an outside observer with your best interests at heart, i think it's time you pick up the phone and patch things up with rodney

rodney was good to you man. treated you right

When they add the service charge and raise the price of everything to compensate you'll still bitch.
I would actually prefer that that instead of being shamed like some degenerate scumbag for not tipping.

how hey do it in europe without tipping is a better system going to a bar over there costs less than in the u.s and restaurants are about the same price.

We still talk, he is engaged to be married though, he's with a woman now. I was really the only man he'd ever been with, he was always more into gash.

that's unfortunate. you and rodney made a great couple

you'll find an even better one. just stay away from the ja'mychals of the world, they're only after one thing. you deserve better

if someone can't handle you at your worst, they don't deserve you at your best!

Wait so if you were just paid a decent wage or something you wouldn't give everyone equal and quality service? You need the carrot dangling in front of you to do your job properly? This is your argument?

I'm not a waiter, but generally this is how all things work. You get what you pay for.

Thanks man, I'm going to reach out to him today and talk to him, maybe we can workout a lunch date or something.

Thanks for the kinds words, genuinely.

Panhandlers are entitled because of people like you. When I went to Japan, I experienced the best servers (not panhandlers) and they didn't take tips. Also the price wasn't doubled because of it. lol.

Services in Japan are incredibly expensive, what are you talking about?

A panhandler doesn't bring me a drink. He's providing no service. If I give him money, it's an act of charity, not a transaction.

As always, the non-tippers expose themselves as being not only of lesser moral character, but lesser intelligence as well.

So again, why should we give a shit that he made $5.25 per hour?

When you go to such a place your only worry is based around what to order. Every function is done by another person; thats product purchasing, cooking, serving, clearing and cleaning. Only two of those services are reflected in the bill.

Really awful tip , especially for being there for so long.
Waiter should have been more professional but you're an ass.

So my bill doesn't reflect the required hourly wage (whatever that may be) that an employer must pay to tipped employees?

Forget about the fact that I live in CA and state law dictates tipped employees are required to be paid the state min wage before their tips, do you actually believe what you said in your posting?
