You just can't accept the truth. Treat people right, don't be a dick and it won't ever happen. People think servers are entitled and that's not true. We absolutely know when we give bad service and we know we don't deserve a great tip, however when we know we gave great service, went above and beyond, gave a great experience and get shafted simply because you "don't believe in tipping" it's game on. We didn't create the system, hell I don't even like the system but it's the system. You can't claim ignorance. You know we rely on tips and you know we make 2.13 an hour. If you choose to go out to eat then tipping will be involved. If you can't afford it don't go out. If you can afford it and just choose not to, your food is fucked. That simple. I do it all the time to repeats. Just the other day the dick hole that has stiffed me three times came in. He mentioned to his friend that he didn't tip me because he doesn't believe in it. I simply smiled and in my mind knew far in advance I had already had the last laugh the moment he took a drink of his soda.
 
inform the manager that you and your friends will no longer be visiting his establishment and spending $200 at a time anymore due to how you were treated by the 'server'.

but you had enough to pay for 200 on drinks? You should have adjusted accordingly to have enough left over to cover a tip that isn't a spit in the waiter's face. Because that's what 5 bucks on a 200 dollar bill is.

Completely wrong on all accounts. Most wait staff do not make minimum wage. Prob make $3-4 an hour. So you're wrong right there

You are right, as a safe fail they should be compensated minimum wage if they didn't make enough in tips. That being said how long would a restraunt keep someone who they had to pay more out of pocket for? Your argument fails in that very way. They aren't relying on the restraunt to make that up, all servers undoubtedly make more than minimum wage. It doesn't change the fact that we will remember you and we will fuck with your shit. Easy as fuck to remember those who don't tip because they are few and far in between. There is a major difference between leaving nothing and leaving 10%. I can at least see your attempt at 10% so I won't fuck with you later. If you fuck me over though, you will be eating it later no doubt. Even if I'm not your server we are close with our crew so I would just let whoever was helping you know I needed to give you the business for last time.

Why do I have to pay for a meal AND for that meal to get served? Americans have been brainwashed with this bullshit.
If I spend 200 bucks on drinks, the establishment should be making enough money to pay their employees a decent wage. Absolutely absurd that I have to pay some dweeb so that he won't stick a pube in my food.
