Tried calling Bangkok Fitness that's near me twice now and they did not pick up the phone. A friend told me they are a bit shady with pricing and don't like 'walk-ins'.

Looking for a place with the Thai bags that I can walk in and do my thing for a bit. Not training.

Thanks

I used to train out of there for 2 years, and I wouldn't recommend bangkok boxing. The owner khunpon is very shady and is not invested in students at all outside of having them pay monthly dues. Which is really unfortunate because they do have talented coaches like Jo Nattawut and the boxing coach at the gwinnett location who trained a cuban olympic gold medalist in 2000, even khunpon if he actually gave a crap.
Do you live near the midtown or gwinnett gym?

Went there.. as you said Jo was pretty awesome. Gym is a bit shady.. $200/month to train in there... that's NYC rate. In addition they had signs that you had to wear school shorts/t-shirts....

What are my options? Honestly anything with a Thai bag is a go for me. I'm in Midtown.

Wow $200? They've seriously raised the price. Also it takes some balls to require that people wear your merchandise when they pay a membership. I've personally never been there but you could try x3 on huff road it's just down the street from bangkok boxing. x3 also has another location in the city in imnan park. I also know for a fact that it's cheaper than $200.

There arent many, here. Especially none that remain open, probably due to the demographic around here. There are a few mma gyms, but they are pretty pushy about classes. There's a ufc gym near me, just north of atlanta, it at least has plenty of equipment. But I would just get a heavy bag and hang it up, where you live, and save yourself alot of hassle if you dont want to train formally.
