Look at this dork. 6'7" 285 lbs, 45" vertical, 19 years old. Clearly he's too fat to fight in the UFC.

GSP is legendary for his explosiveness during his prime before his ACL tears at 170 lbs. This guy is 120 lbs heavier and has the same vertical as GSP. He's a HW with GSP athleticism.

But the UFC's athletes are world class. He's clearly too fat to even be allowed to compete against the UFC's 40 year old A level athletes:

Athleticism isn't everything in MMA - cleverness and the willingness to endure pain are way more important* and often cancel superior athleticism out.

EDIT: way more important in MMA than in Basketball

You know cutting 20lbs at that size isn't hard right?

Let's see how Zion reacts to getting punched in the fucking face before talking about athleticism.

He's 19. At 25 he could easily be an athletic 300-350 lbs. But that's the point: even at 19, he's too athletic for the UFC to allow him to compete unless he handicaps himself. There are athletes out there that make the 265 lb HW cap a joke.

Why doesn't every sport tailor the rules to only allow Aesthetic bodies to dominate. Every sport would generate billions in revenue.

Zion would KO Stipe with 6 minutes of UFC training. Duh. But he gets paid a thousand times more to dunk a ball though a hoop. Not difficult to understand why true A level athletes don't waste their time with human cockfighting.

He's got muscle for sure, but stop acting as if being that heavy at that height and with that frame alone makes you athletic. His vertical is elite, but that doesn't prevent him from being too heavy. Naturally having a huge body does.

He wouldn't necessarily win against Stipe with 6 years of training, let alone knock him out. Good for him that he's found a sport where he's obviously very good at though. (While making tons of money)
