Guys that are too fat and unathletic for the UFC

too busy playing turdsketball but I guess cuz it pays 100x more

HW champ after watching 15 minutes of Joe Rogans podcast

Look at this dork. 6'7" 285 lbs, 45" vertical, 19 years old. Clearly he's too fat to fight in the UFC.

GSP is legendary for his explosiveness during his prime before his ACL tears at 170 lbs. This guy is 120 lbs heavier and has the same vertical as GSP. He's a HW with GSP athleticism.

But the UFC's athletes are world class. He's clearly too fat to even be allowed to compete against the UFC's 40 year old A level athletes:

Those numbers may be a bit hyped and there is ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE GSP had a 45" vertical. Vince Carter had a 43" vertical in his prime.
I don't think GSP could ever do this.

Why be a fighter when you can play ball?

Theres this thing called PEDs. If you think anyone is 250lbs+ and ripped naturally you are naive as hell.

He's 19. At 25 he could easily be an athletic 300-350 lbs. But that's the point: even at 19, he's too athletic for the UFC to allow him to compete unless he handicaps himself. There are athletes out there that make the 265 lb HW cap a joke.

It doesn't matter. It's been proven over and over that past 220 pounds peoples go down with one punch. So basically you don't want to be a big athletic 300 pounds guy who trades up speed for strenght because you're not gonna land first.

Why are you using Sherdogger standards to judge him?

Athleticism is nice and all, but then some "unathletic and fat" HW like Mark Hunt just walks through punches right up close and launches an overhand brick for a walk-off KO. MMA is way more than pure athleticism. You need years of training, enough stamina, chin (for striking disciplines) and pain tolerance to be successfull in MMA, as in any combat sport. Playing ball does not make you a good fighter, as being a fighter does not make you good at playing ball.

How many games did Zion play in the nba before needing surgery??? ..... zero lol he’d get injured making his way towards the octagon .. he’s the Cain Velasquez of the nba

Shaq back in college, 294 lbs -- clearly too fat to be allowed to fight the UFC's A level athletes:

Blame athletic commissions for that ruling... Huge guys over 300 pounds fight HWs or LHW regularly in Europe and around the world.
Noone got seriously hurt from what I gather, and those guys usually aren't doing very well

I don’t watch basketball, but I’ve seen enough clips of NBA fights to know that money isn’t the only reason those guys aren’t dominating the UFC.

Id bet money on a 40 year old fat guy who has trained almost all his life just to fight than your a level athlete

KO'd by his own lack of coordination, Javy Ayala KO's him on a bellator prelim within half a minute

had nothing to do with his coordination, which is elite, especially for his size. he tried to plant and his brand new Nike literally disintegrated. Nike spent weeks playing kiss ass after, and saw iirc $1+ billion stock loss the day after.

**edit - none of that matters in mma tho, and never will. this kid gonna make more per game than most fighters will sniff per year.
