Yes, US foreign policy is awful and always has been. The current administration is still worse in every way.

They are not interchangeable.

If this is true then it's picking between a murderer who can hide his murder behind "standard governmental policies" and a rapist murderer, who wants to accelerate the genocide and additionally wants more death on his hands in the forms from pushing against allies in their times of war all the way to his handling of a dangerous epidemic, and one who can't hide behind "standard governmental policy" because of the rampant violations of the constitution.

We can find them both abysmal, but this isn't a situation for false equivalence. The much more important statement than "both are awful" is "this one is far worse"

In all seriousness, I do respect Trump for helping the UFC out in the dark ages. He gave the sport of MMA a chance when few others would. I'm not a fan of the guy as a president, but credit where credit is due.
It would be nice to see other sitting presidents attend a UFC event.


Yeah he's pretty solid. Beat Gamrot in his UFC debut. Gave Damir a damn tough fight. But he got KO'd pretty bad in one of his most recent fights. Curious to see how he comes back.

Yeah, I get where you're coming from.
I was approaching it from the standpoint that UFC is loved by working class and lower class people as well as rich people. My desire would purely be that the president attend as a show of good faith and community with their fellow citizens.

I absolutely agree that the over-politicization of everything is exhausting and I'm tired of it too

Not arguing against that. I think the Trump administration is worse. I was focusing on a different point (that it isn't just since Trump took over that the "rule of law" has been neglected). Your point was that the current administration is worse. A different point that I can't disagree with.

Yeah, rule of law has always been a great idea that doesn't have much to do with US foreign policy
 
He should just decree that all MMA fights must happen in the USA and suspend any fighter's passport who is suspected of trying to leave the country. At the same time will send Air Force One to pick up any Russian fighters who want to fight here or any good looking call girls.
