GSP's striking > Silva's striking

I don't think it reached the stage were Bisping was clearly winning but he size did seem to be telling, GSP couldnt really do much on the ground and arguably took worse shots and Bispings pressure standing did seem to be building.

Watching that I'm not sure I'd pick GSP to win that match if it goes to a decision although of course theers a good argument it did happen post prime for him as well just like Silva.

Well, if we hypothetically talk about that fight going to a decision, then gsp would have had rounds 1, and 3 in the bag with round two being a toss up. I'd bet on him winning one more and getting the decision.

Doesn't really matter though at the end of the day

Sleeping Dogs was a fun game, din't know they brought in GSP, neat.

It seems fashionable to shit on Anderson these days, fuck everybody! Fuck you!

People forget how great GSP’s striking was before the Serra fight. He had quick hands and lethal kicks, he basically stopped kicking all together in his later fights and even his boxing turned more into jabs for distance control and to disrupt the timing of his opponents.

Anderson Silva's stand up game was, IMHO, better than GSP's, but St-Pierre was also very effective and innovative with his own. "Rush" used many feints, and his quality jabs were a perfect set up for many of his takedowns or simply used as counters.
Prime GSP truly was a joy to watch.

Nice article explaining a lot of GSP's techniques on a technical level, for n00bz (we all were one at some point) who want to understand the sport a bit more => https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2017/10...ierre-michael-bisping-breakdown-combat-course

Also koed by a natural lw
Anderson Silva, a natural LHW, got ragdolled by a natural featherweight, in Chute Boxe's Luiz "The Joker" Azeredo

Silva is a known greaser and roid-head, and still got outstruck on the feet by natural feathweight Ryo Chonan, before he tapped quicker than McGregor when taken to the ground <6>

Square enix knows it and chose GSP as an ambassador for their game being the clear best striker in the UFC, not silva ...

Dont @ me.

Gaming developers decide fighter rankings now? and in specific areas of fighting too?

I'd rather watch a guy apply pressure like Conor or Georges, than having the speed, talent, experience advantages and spend majority of the fight backing up, hiding behind their length like Isreal and Silva, expecting their opponent do something.

But better? meh wouldn't say that.

Georges is probably a B level grappler, striker and wrestler compared to the world's best

But his riddum, pressure, awareness and ability to break his opponents with basics is why he's a GOAT MMArtist. His opponents struggle to find a pace, riddum or offense.

Yeah I see how you'd think that. GSP made a career of violently finishing guys on the feet while Silva.... Oh wait

Silva avoided GSP by not fighting him at 170.

Silva eventually said he'd go down to 170 if that's what it took, it was at this point when you started to get the feeling that GSP was the hold up at least the bigger hold up of the two if Anderson was one.

"Said"

Anderson never went down to fight GSP. Period.
